In Stormfist Castle, you find a bow named "Stan's Bow." Is it of any use or is it just an Easter Egg?

It is not a quest item, though it may have originally been intended to be part of a quest which was taken out of the game.

There is an NPC named Stan listed in the data.000 file, located in the NPC storage area (see Reviving dead NPCs for details). Teleporting him to my character's location, Stan is dressed as one of the bowman at the castle archery range (bow, blue and yellow tunic). Talking to him, he says he is out of arrows, but can not leave the range, and asks you to fetch some arrows for him from the general store. If you agree he claims to give you some money (didn't check that) and mark the location of the store on your map (no flag added).
You can also refuse, asking if you look like a simple errand boy. He says yes, that is why he asked but he would ask someone else. You then throw a fit, saying you are the lord protector and could have him hung for talking to you like that. He replies that there is no need to get violent, the way you are dressed you look like an errand boy, and apologizes.

You know, I would've preferred a few more quests to this monster camping. I like a good dungeon crawl from time to time, but this game seemed really light on the quests. It's a shame they didn't spend more time on that than the monsters.

oh well -_-

I do still like the game.

Stan's quest was likely removed from the game when arrows were eliminated, since it no longer made sense.

The lower levels of Iona's dungeon are optional. Head to Verdistis (to the far north of Ars Magicana), if you have not been there already, for more non-combat quests.

OH ok ty ^_^

So I guess this means I can throw away those arrows I've been collecting LOL

Yeah, I finally got to level 3 of the lower level and there are wraiths, and they kick my butt. I'm only level 25 :O

The few arrows you can find around are just for atmosphere / decoration. One person reported being able to equip an arrow, which caused their mage (IIRC) to start jumping up and down.

Depending on how much you have left on the third level, and how difficult the wraiths are, it might be almost as fast to keep going as to backtrack. The forth level is basically a smallish room, and contains a shortcut back up to the first level.
