I have read on the box and in some reviews that there are weather effects in Divine Divinity. I've not seen any, although so far I've only been to Aleroth and it's corresponding dungeons. Did they leave this out of the final release? I have patched it to 1.0034... Thanks very much.

There are some - but only at the grumpy old tree within the deep forest.

Plus, there once had been a sunrise-sunset coloring, but I fear that this had been taken out with a patch due to soime Win2k incompatibilities.

Alrik, the dawn/dusk effect can sometimes be gained/lost by re-installing the game or by installing a patch.
Edit the '..\Divine Divinity\Run\config.lcl' file in notepad (or any other text editor), add the line "splotchproblem 0" to the end, hit enter (the game expects the last line to be blank) and save. When you start Divinity and load a save, the dawn/dusk effect should be restored.

Oh, yes, that was the word: "splotch problem".

What a weird sounding word ! wink

Thanks anyway, Raze. smile

Does anyone have a screenshot of how the dawn/dusk effect looks like?

The dusk/dawn effect is simply a gradual change in the ambient light from bright daylight to redish (IIRC) twilight to relatively dark night, and back again to daylight. When the effect is lost, there is an abrupt change between day and night.

I see. Maybe I'll try "slotchproblem" trick sometime.
