Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems Game won't start

I installed the game and when I click on the desktop icon i get the config game settings error. I do that and then an error comes up that says Could not open font The game disk is in the computer. I also tried running the latest 1.49 patch that removes the starforce protection and an error came up saying that this game is not the good game????
amd athalon x2 4400+
7800gtx 512 mb video
2 gig of ram

Any ideas? I just bought the game a target and have heard nothing but good things about it

What version of Windows do you have?

Under XP someone got a similar font error due to a conflict with their anti-virus program (Font error?). Perhaps try a clean re-install of the game after disabling your anti-virus program (if you have the real-time scan enabled), as well as any other non-essential background programs.

Hello and thanks for the reply! I'm using windows XP and did try a clean install. I'm not sure about the anti-virus though, I'll have to look into that after work. Other then that all drivers and stuff are up to date.

Amazing...My game computer got fried while I was hooking up a new 10 meg modem, guess the power supply finally gave out.(HELLO NEWEGG) So I installed the game on my Compaq Presario 641(SR5030NX) 1024 ram, Windows Vista and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and it runs great, no problems yet...Who would have guessed hahaha...

Are their any guilds or clans for this game? Dedicated forums like this one? Just currious.
