I am pretty much finished with all of the quests before you hit the wastelands, I am trying to solve the quest where you have to box the guy under the bar. It takes all of your items plus you cant use potions. I am a survivor so I am not as strong or have as many hit points as a warrior, I can't imagine doing this with a mage, is there a "trick" to winning this fight? I hit him for like 7 damage but there is no way i can out last him with my current non item stats.
The easiest trick: toss your equipment in the ring before the fight, put it on once the fight begins. Or just buy 100 strength potions and drink them all at once before the fight.
You can also drop potions, etc before talking to the manager, and pick them up on the way to the ring. I think you can cast Skin of Poison on yourself first, as well, and have the boxer take himself out that way.
