hopeing that this forun is still monitored..!! I have been trying to play BD on 32bit vista on a workstation that can run CRYSIS in ulta settings without breaking a sweat, but when it comes to playing BD the players run all VERY slowly its very frustrating.! lastest drivers etc

any idea on how you can make the game play normally? thanks

How much memory do you have? At least with the 64 bit version of Vista, a couple people had this problem with more than 3072 MB of RAM.

30-40 FPS in XP x86; 10 - 20 FPS in Vista x64

Why do you have 8GB of RAM running a 32 bit version of Windows? I assume you are dual booting with a 64 bit OS (unless you meant to write 64 bit above).
If it really is a 32 bit version of Vista, you can just leave the edit in place. Windows (or any 32 bit OS) is only going to be able to see 4GB of RAM, and after it gets done handing out memory addresses to hardware devices, there will only be about 3-3.5GB RAM available. Dropping down to 3GB of RAM is probably not going to effect performance much, so you could leave the edit in place until you finish the game, rather than switching back and forth each time you play.

You shouldn't need to do the max memory tweak at all in 32-bit Windows, as the game used to run full speed for me when I was running XP x86 and 4GB on the same hardware, but as soon as I booted to Vista x64, the tweak was needed. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game runs in Windows 7. wink
