I have played DD several times and have wondered if there is any use of the bags of grains that you find everywhere in the Farmlands? I mean, I tried to sell them - no such luck, and I have not really had any luck combining them either. So if anyone have found a use for them I would like to know.

Until, and if, you join the thieves' guild, bags of grain are the lowest weight container in the game (100 compared to chests that range from 200 to about 500, etc). Some people carry a container to keep their inventory uncluttered, or for another reason...
Stealing.
If you open a container inside your inventory and drag and drop items into the window it is not considered stealing. It is counted as stealing when you remove the items from the container, though, so make sure there are no NPCs around to see you when you do.

A potential problem doing this is described below;
weight bug and disappearing chests (broken links are fixed in a reply, and the screenshot links re-fixed in another)

I knew the spoiler - but thanks anyway.

Any reason bags of grain changes weight after joining Thieves´guild? But great idea of carrying stuff in a bag of grain with the low weight and all - have not thought of it - but I play survior this time and strength is not the top most priority.

I didn't mean the weight itself changed. After you join the thieves' guild you can find the lowest weight container (5) in the game (a unique container); until then, sacks of grain are as light as you can get.

Yeah, that's where it is. You'll know it because something strange is hidden inside it.

If you need more of a hint,
it is in Rob's room.

Hmmm I went into Spoiler: Robs room but I just could not find it. All I could find was the usual ones ... I was so sure I knew where it was ... Spoiler question: Is it hidden along a wall so you cannot see it or do I have to move something to find it?

It's an obvious item. You've seen hundreds of them during the game, so you probably ignore most of them. It's not something that you can usually store things in. I hope you read my meaning here. wink
