For the 2 I think there should be normal clothes like what the people on the streets where(in the game). It could maybe also efect how people respond to you when they see you!

A little off topic, maybe there should also be armor that looks diferent when you where it. because the dragon armor looks like all the rest of the armor and the same with the larain/silver armor(when you put the stuff on). I think you should see the diferences, like with the dragonheart brestplate it should show the gem in the armor, and like worn armor should look that, not new and shiny!

Just some ideas, comments?

I agree with your idea, the appearance of the character should change with the clothing just like diablo 2.

well kinda like D2 but D2 was kinda like . what I want is stuff that is like the icon in you inventory and not the exact same thing as the other stuff.

like this,

I have a two handed long sword that is new and nice and shiny! I then pick it up and go into attack mode. it looks normal. I get another sword that is totaly different but is also a two handed long sword(it has a differend hilt+blade but you still need two hands for it) I would like it to show up as that sword not the same sword without flaws and inperferctings(sp).

Almost the same with clothes, it would be neat if you founght a ton and ran around a lot you muscle mass would be different that a bankers so your clothers would hang on you differently that the baqnkers clothes.

Hope you get my point or I might have to e-mail you a really crappy drawing shoowing this done in Paint on my PC(he he)!

Also, if u get a frost sword, maybe the sword would shine the colour of the element. Not like lightsabre colour, but a suttle blueish colour that would make the sword look different from a normal sword.

Yeah, cool idea to bring glowing weapons. They should glow, all those +frost, lightning etc weapons

And I wanna wear a pot and a brush!!! Right, I would like to see that on character.

It would be nice to see more different armor weapon models. As it was written in earlier posts. Long sword and [nocando] sword should look different. Even worn and polished should look different also.

I can already see Janus stepping on it as you leave, just for fun.

Great idea though!

if the next project goes 3D, then it all will be possible with a small amount of CD's. but in 2D it'll take up like 5-6 CD's I think

Let's just release it on DVD. That should solve any space issues.

I don't think audience will be a problem. People will (semi-)hapilly buy new video cards and extra memory to get their favourite games going. And these upgrades only serve to make everything else run better too. I think that if games started being released on DVD only, people would buy DVD drives for their computers. PS1 owners bought a PS2 and will probably buy the PS3 as well.

I know Diablo 1 made it to PS1. I'm not sure about the GBA though. It could be done...

I wouldn't mind seeing Divine Divinity text-based:
Quote
? S

You are on a path. Smoke can be seen rising from the chimneys of Aleroth far to the North. To the East you see a bridge crossing a wide river. Forest surrounds you on all other sides. There appears to be commotion on the bridge.

? E

You are on a bridge crossing a wide river. Two castle guards are desperately fighting a couple of very large trolls.

? ATTACK TROLL

You hit it for 10 points of damage! The Troll hits you for 8 points of damage. The Castle Guard hits the Troll for 5 points of damage. The Troll misses the Castle Guard. The Castle Guard misses the Troll.

You are in the throne room of Stormfist Castle. The walls are lined with ornate paintings and guards man the doorways. In front of you is Janus, the new duke, though still a child. Janus begins to speak.

?

"I've heard of your deeds out in the lands. I think that you would be perfect as my personal body guard."

? NO THANKS

"I'm not giving you an option. You will be my new body guard."

? KILL JANUS

Janus' head flies across the room and stains a portrait of himself depicted as the Divine One. The guards rush over from the doors. "What have you done? You've killed Janus! All hail Draughn, the new duke and the Divine One!"

Yes, seeing different armors better reflected would be better. I hate how the knights' armor was always shinier than mine.
