(sorry for my English, I can understand German but not write it ) I'm currently overloaded with loads of items but unlike Divine Divinity, I've found no way to drop items or to put them in a chest. Instead, the game wants me to destroy them. I don't want this since most of my items are books so far and I want a place to stick them all in case I need them. Basically, is it possible to store items in a chest or drop them somewhere?

Aah thanks that explains a lot. I like to collect the books though - I do that in all RPGs :p.

Yeah I did that in Morrowind and Oblivion like a maniac... but somehow, books don't appeal to me as much in Divinity 2...

Unfortunately it's not - you'll have to carry them around until you move to "dragon tower", where you'll find a personal chest to store your stuff, or destroy them. I don't like this solution either, I'd have loved to take all my books with me, on the other hand I'm not Xena ...

Well, I probably should start selling all the food I picked up :P
What is odd about the system is that items take up one weight regardless of how many you carry so if you carry one potato or 6546546 of them, it will just take one "weight" unit.
Oh, and is food really useless? I haven't really noticed any real benefit from eating.

You can even raise a skill that will increase your item carry capacity by 20... Food increases your health regeneration, I thought it was useful the first couple of levels or so, but later on it is pretty much useless...

Useless? No, food comes handy for a while. Given ample time you can fill up your healthbar/manabar by eating/drinking. I'm doing so during fighting pauses (in order to save pots). Later on food alone won't do the job though

Aah - I'm a ranger anyway though, so I usually kill my prey before it gets close to me (or that is the idea anyway). I guess I'll just keep the food of which I have the most and ditch the rest :P Or use it up in combat. Thanks for the help .
