Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems crash issue

I have never really had a crash issue before, but the last two games I played ended in the game crashing. I am not in any weird place like a dungeon or anything, and I am not near a cut screen. I was just selling some equipment and BOOM Crash. Does anyone have some ideas for me so that I know where to start looking. Or some questions to ask so that I can point you in the right direction. When I first started playing this game, I had all kinds of problems including the one your having. It would crash randomly(and OFTEN) while I was just walking around. I followed ALL of the support recomendations as far as grafix and other settings go, but I still had the same problems, I could'nt figure it out. Then one day I diabled the setting in the DD config screen called SMOOTHNESS. I have not had any problems since. I had problems with saving and getting kicked out to windows almost every day.. Now it runs as clean as can be. I don't know if this will solve your problem but it worked like a charm for me!! Give that a try...

My brother and I used to have that problem on his computer. What are the specs on your machine? That may have something to do with it. I know every so often if we'd try to repair our equipment the game would crash.

I have:
pentium 4 1500Ghz ('ish)
128 SDRAM (I know, but the upgrade is comming)
60Gigs Hard Space
32meg DDR Radeon Vid Card (PCI)
48X Cd Rom

I think that is about all I need to say, If there is other info on my comp and it might give a clue as to what is happening then ask and I will do my best to respond. I find this all really weird cause I was doing fine for a long time, in fact I thought that everyone elses problems were weird, cause I never had one...............Karma Sucks, but I do not deserve this.
