BEfore you go to the bad part of the game (wastelands) what is the best sword you can get? I need a good sword, mine stinks. I was thinking of killing Seth for his, but he left. I was wondering if someone could help me! I need help!

Also, what ( <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" /> )is the best shield you get
or is it all just random stats?

If you want to use a shield then the best weapon in the game would probably be the sword of the gods. It can be found randomly in the wastelands and it has random stats. So before you ID it save. You can get it with frost which is what I would suggest.

My fav has always been a [nocando] sword with frost...it just makes the game so much easier...frost that is.

The sword of the gods is in a house in the wastelands (Dragon's wastelands screen shot). Before that, the Nobleman's sword is probably the best, with a few others not far behind. The best shield is probably the dragon shield, from the Stormfist castle armoury.

In my old file I had a frost Royal Sword that suited me just great. I also now have a stormscythe with frost on it, and I'm learning how to use freeze.

Jurak: you only need level 1 to cross the swamp, which you can learn from a dragon. The Path of the Divine opens up when you get to the wastelands.

Oh thanks. I coudn't find the stupid sword. I had the amulit, the dagger, but not the sword! In my new file I'll find it. I swear this on my moms grave. Oh well. (Cry Cry Cry...)

In Iona's dungeon, level 1, there is a wall you can see a corridor behind, but no obvious way in.....

VERY BIG SPOILER ON HOLY ITEMS

best sword i got was "Claymore of Snow". Did 81-134 damage and had Frost(3)
and Charm Quality of 5 (and so i added 5 large charms to it which means it's one crazy sword). Not sure where i got it exactly, i think i either bought it from the smith or got it randomly in a cave. Only bad part of it, it's 2 handed = no shield. But i'm still trying to reload-ID to get a good holy sword that beats it..no luck yet. Holy sword seems to do 71-100 damage max and rarely gets a Frost on it, but it's one handed.

anyway seems 2 handed and 1 handed swords are equally fast, so you don't loose speed if you use a 2 handed sword and usually do more damage with it.
