I walked into a room in the Dwarven Bread Inn. A dog named Lar (i think that was his name) attacked me, and I accidentally killed him. My previous saved game was over two hours ago. Are there any negative consequences to killing Lar?

All dogs will turn hostile now - no quest disadvantage, just a bad conscience? Kiya

Bummer. I felt bad killing him. But if all dogs will be hostile now, I'm going to re-load my save. I'd rather re-play the last couple of hours.

If you don't enter the room after you're sure that it's Lar in there and not the dwarf Krasne... the dogs will hopefully not turn hostile. Kiya <whispering> I felt bad, too

IMHO killing dogs has no negative effect on any quests. I personally is not a dog killer, but dogs were hostile in my game, maybe I killed that aggressive Lar dog? Ohh and I don't kill bunnies, frogs and even rats. I leave all friendly beings to their lifes (as Egin is walking away you can notice large pacifist sign on his back)

The all new non improved story of Lar the Superdog, owner of an incredible cool looking bone, which he acquired using nothing else but his natural intelligence. Or how the taste of floppy disks lay at the source of a game company called Larian Studios
***
Once upon a time there was a dog whose name was Pilar. He never really liked his name, so one day he decided that it had to stop. He renamed himself, and let man and beast alike know that from now on, they should call him Lar. After spending the first years of his life playing idle games with the neighbour's cat and the occasional rabbit, Lar decided that it was time to take his gaming to a new level. What he really wanted to do was play with computers. He always liked the taste of floppy disks anyway. At that time the CDROM drive still had to conquer the world, so he didn't know that there were plans to replace his favourite medium by something shiny that would hurt his teeth, but that's beside the point . So he collected his bones, traded them at the bank and with the money he got, he founded a company. After thinking for a very long time he decided that he would call his company Larian Studios.
After all, he couldn't call it Pilarian Studios, could he?

Jeezes Viper, get a grip man... How many posts do you do a day in this forum? anyway, to stay on topic : IMHO : Killing annimals is naughty unless you are hungry and there are no children in the direct neighboorhood you can eat.
