Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Dragon Armor

I'm sure that this subject has been beaten to death and I have searched all the posts for an answer and I am either doing something wrong or there is a glitch or something.

OK, I have obtained the Belt, gloves, shield and heart of the dragon. I talked to the King and Sir Patrick and got the Breastplate and am now at Grischa the blacksmith. when I click on him the only option I get is the merchandise one. I click on repair and he repairs the Breastplate but does not combine it with the Heart. I don't have an option to ask him to combine them. What am I missing?

Try talking to the king again, then return to Grisha. Maybe try Sir Patrick again, as well, if that doesn't help. A few people have had problems with this quest, but talking to those involved several times is generally enough to trigger the stubborn speech option (though more people have had a problem with Sir Patrick getting the breastplate than with Grisha forging it with the gem).

I assume the quest for the breastplate shows up as completed in your questlog?

Dragon Armour Quests

Thank you but It still remains the same. All Grischa will do is repair the breastplate but no option to add the heart and the king keeps saying I need to get the breastplate (which I already have). The only thing I did different than the info on Kiya's site is I got the dragon Heart before getting the Breastplate. I've visited all the NPC's again, including Lucius, and get no different options. Looks like this is a deadend quest for me.

Try talking to Grisha and the king a few times (go through whatever speech options they have), or leave it and come back later. Maybe it would help if you toss the breastplate into the throne room before the guards take your stuff, and pick it up before talking to the king?

Have done all of that and it's hopeless. Grisha only has the one sentence when I click on him and no talk options at all. The king only has the same options every time and never change I've tried several times and have even talked to Sir Patrick again and then the King. I've went to the king with the Breast Plate in inventory and wearing the Breast Plate and the King won't recognize that I have the breast plate. The King keeps saying go find the Breast plate which is probably where the hang up is but I have no idea what I have to do to trigger him ackowledging me having the armor. Maybe it's because I already had the heart and did that quest before talking to the King.
