Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Any suggestions on these 3 quests?

1) From what I have been reading here, the Tingalf quest should be solved by reporting to that Guard in Ars Magicana ( lt. Robin ) I believe. I know where he should be located, but he has moved away. A vicinity search didn't give me any results either. And Tingalf also left his original position.

2) I have been in the Ars Magicana sewers already, and killed that dude. From what I recall, that was Pedro. So this quest is broken, or not?

3) Thanx to the search option here, I was able to see my mistake in the Boratus quest. I never found that key, and my lockpick didn't open that chest. Now I am getting nowhere in that cave containing the Holy Grail: those guardians are way too many, and I get killed before even slaying a single one of them. And apparently I cannot escape death by running out, because there is no exit...

If you didn't take the cave letter with you and presented it to Marcus first BEFORE showing him the sewer letter = yes, quest is broken.
I guess, you addressed Robin too early - but he should reappear again after a while. Even if the quest sequence is broken, you still get XP and (hopefully) the skill from Marcus.

Boratus key: He drops it when he's dead - did you release the wolves, let them have a go at him first and then join into the attack?

Raze has a key download fix for you

Grail cave: there is an exit. I did it like this: placed a pyramid in front of the entrance, went in there, killed Greyface, drag&dropped the grail into my inventory - teleported myself out. Returned later and killed them.

Sorry for messing up my sentence grammar: I did get that key, I just couldn't get out of the cave containing the Holy Grail. But that problem has been solved ( see the red edit part in my first post ).


Here's another screenie. I have both letters from Pedro to Victorio, and from Victorio to Pedro. Marcus doesn't give me any options besides standard talk.

When did you report to Marcus? He has to get the cave letter first and the sewers letter afterwards. The cave letter triggers the "Speak to Tingalf option".-> speak to Tingalf, get clue for new lair in sewers -> enter sewers -> get sewers letter ->report to Robin ->report to Marcus.

If both, Robin and Marcus, only have standard sentences and Trevor/Verdistis has nothing new/interesting to say = quest sequence is busted.

I totally broke this quest. Haven't even been to Verditis? and have already exposed Tingalf to Marcus via the sewer letter only. Got the skill upgrade though. Later I found the cave out by the water supply and that letter to Marcus. He didn't have anything to say but I got experience for it anyways.

My problem is I hate black on my map so I try to totally clear one map (Riverton) before going on to the next.

Thanakar, maybe you're lucky. If you go to Verdistis, become a merchant guild member and get the Trevor quest then = could be Sgt Robin has the speech option for you.

Though... IIRC, I could go to Verdistis afterwards and had quest- und solving option directly with Trevor.

That's what happened to me. Went to Trevor afterwards and the quest got solved automatically since I had already completed it. Thankfully I didnt' break it.
