I loved it too! Even if that's the 'THE END' I would still love it xD I don't see a logical way how the story will continue with the same hero :((( And killing Ygerna with some other hero wouldn't be the same smirk

Actually, there is a way. Zandalor was left untouched in the end, you didnt meet him after Aleroth, except the memory, but that doesn`t count. He could brake you free. Since, i think a new character, i agree, wouldn`t be the same, there`d be no point, no meaning to him.

He can't, actually, since you took the Shield and the Sigil with you.
Mine version: Dragons will help. Perhaps Zandalor will seek for a Dragon (true one) or for Maxos.

i rather think we will start with a new hero who is sent out to save the first one, it makes sense after all and it could be tied into more history by like "the hero gets to the other hero frozen in the gem but he cant get him out so the dragon rider gives him his powers so he can stop damien and let him out, the new hero manages to let the dragon rider out, in the proces the dragon powers retern to teh original hero, the new hero gets angry and joins damien and we are agien the hero from D2 and have to find a wey to stop damien once and for all*

How would Zandalor know of the fate of the Dragon Knight or even more where is he being sealed? And what Kein said he doesn't have the equipment to venture to the hall of echoes. I just remembered something. The old true dragon you met tells you that you are THE LAST DRAGON KNIGHT. So Talana must be dead :| If you continue the story with new non dragon, towerless character it would be kinda dumb :| All that effort to obtain the d.stone, the b. tower and the servants would go to waste!

The only way I can see for the Divine & Dragon Knight to be libarated from their glass shells is for Maxos himself to return... which is unlikely.

Div 3 could, for instance, start with a new hero sent by Zandalor to search for the lost Dragon Knight --- the old Dragon most probably knows about everything that happened... and since Maxos created the tools to enter the Hall of Echoes, it is probably possible that another powerful mage (like Zandalor) could create new such tools.

i dont see why Maxos has to relese the hero, i just rather think it has to be someone who holds olmost godly power so it could be zandalo, or it could be Demien who comes back and releses the knigh because there is no fun in taking over the world with out any resistence

I hope we'll get to see elves, dwarves, orcs, lizardmen in the sequel. Ok dwarves are a must. And I'd love to hear the same voice actors too.

The fact is that we all need bigger maps " like WoW map ", more locations, more space to do things, fly, build ur own custom tower etc etc, right?

This would be my main suggestion/hope. Just make it more open ended and with more locations and it's golden. I love it when a game allows you to keep playing after you finish the main plot line so you can explore. I don't necessarily want to be fighting something or chasing after an artifact through my entire game experience. Larian games have such personality its kind of a shame they don't concentrate more on that aspect. There are many moments in D2ED where I want to get out my old copy of DD just to muck about in an actual town.

My wishlist boiled down:
-more lore
-fleshed out world or at least a large world region with more cities, towns, villages, whatever
-more freedom of movement and travel
-more lore
-more of that Larian wit -- the self-referential stuff is always a good laugh
-please please please keep Kirill Pokrovsky on, to me there's almost no one better for fantasy RPG music

I saw that, but there are plenty of posts with wishes and suggestions in this thread, so it seemed to me that I could have posted this in either thread. It was also just the way the discussion was going. Not to be rude, but honestly you clog up this forum with more of your "post here instead of here" posts than all the repeat threads combined. It's getting kind of ridiculous. Nobody but you really cares, especially in ambiguous situations.

The screenshot with the Verdistis sign post is real, but it is not from the game itself. Larian created a test area early in the development process to check out the graphics/game engine.

How big was that test area?
And how did you know?

I don't know how big the test area was, other than what is visible. I was around when Larian released the first three screenshots of what they were then only referring to as their 'next gen' game (one, two, three), in May of 2005. There was a fair bit of speculation in the forum about what the other place name was, and how Aleroth and Verdistis may have changed since DD, etc. Larian (don't recall who exactly) chimed in to say that it was just a test area, and that the sign post didn't necessarily mean anything about the game.

In December of 2006 they released a fourth screenshot, which was actually from the game. However, at some point during development, the swamp area was removed (they didn't say why).
