Ok, steel scorpions rule. I mean from level 1 you can have at least one 100th level steel scorpion that wipes out anything that comes on his way. I read this on the divine divinity forum and i decided to start a survivor with this skill. Things got better when I combined this skill with the devotion aura that enabled me to control these scorpions. That was until I reached level 32. Then it happened.
I was in the sewers under verdistis near the teleportation stones. I was walking through a narrow corridor with 3 steel scorpions 500 level each following me. (3 skills to devotion aura and 5 skills to deadly gift). Suddendly in front of me I saw 4 spiders. I moved closer in order for my skorpions to kill them but they didn't come. I moved back and saw them stuck by the wall. I drew the spiders near them but the skorpions wouldn't move. So i retreated and used 3 skorpion traps and then i controlled them with my devotion aura. I moved into the corridor but the new skorpions stuck with the old ones. I did the same thing once more but the 3 new skorpions stuck in the same place. So I went and killed the spiders by myself. I moved to a bigger area, used 3 skorpion traps and controled them with the devotion aura and exited the sewers. When I reached Verdistis, I had 12 scorpions following me. My best guess is that the other skorpions were stuck but retained the devotion aura on them and when i changed area they followed me. I don't know if it is a trick because i haven't tried it again, but if it can work again its worth trying it. I mean imagine a total of 6000 levels following you and killing for you. As if the skill wasn't enough overpowered... :P

I don't about that myself...but from what i found out, if the scorpion kill and enemy, you will only received half of the experience point. If it true ?

yes it's true! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> just make sure your in on the final few hits before death, and you will get the points! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I've heard too that you only get half experience, but that's a penalty I'm willing to take. In the end it doesn't matter what is my level or what items I carry. The scorpions take care of everyone for me and that's just fine.

AFAIK 50% of XP occurs, if the scorpion lands the last deadly blow.
I've only had one, never a herd, so I could control that.
