Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General HARD Level

Hi All:

Great game. I place it in my best of the best games that I've played i.e. Wizardry, games 1 to 8, Apple or IBM, all the Ultimate games (my picture was used in the 7th game).

Now to my question. I've played DD a few times as a Warrior male or female tried both and enjoyed the excitement that came with both.

Now in another replay I'm a warrior again but at the Hard Level. This is where I am asking if the game is balanced properly? Seems my level 8 character has his butt kicked good time at level in the Catacombs where there are the 2 coffins and you need open the four coffins to continue down.

The one that is the most problem is the Skeleton Lord that shoots a firery blast at you. Seems that my hit points disolve with 2 hits from him.

Question is how should I approach this at the hard level. Need some ideas.

Well, as a mage, i always got my butt wooped by him, and it was about 2 or 3 times. I just drank lots of potions!

Are you able to use death scorpions? I know as a warrior they have become a invaluble tool even at level 30. Helps if you have the command spell as well so they stay with you as you move through the area. But they can at least keep some of the mobs at bay and give you a fighting chance.
