Hello,

I really enjoyed Divinity 2's soundtrack, so I was wondering if it will be ever released, perhaps in a collector's edition?

Actually, VGMDb says it should be released with Collector's Edition
I don't have one.

Also, before you ask: no, there is no way to extract audio from game resources. We don't know any.

If there is an English collector's edition, I hope it includes the full soundtrack (the one in the German CE was only 22 minutes long), or the soundtrack is released separately.
The composer Kirill Pokrovsky has the DD / BD soundtracks (and more) on his website in mp3 format. The D2:ED soundtrack may eventually show up there, as well.

Risen came with the soundtrack on separate CD, which was nice.. for Divinity 2 I'll consider getting the Collector's Edition if it's going to be included. I love the game that much. wink

It was slightly easier getting the music when Kirill hosted it himself, but I can certainly understand why he wouldn't want to have to pay to give away some of his work.

There is a Divine Divinity Music Extractor (72KB) by BrainBox (see also DD music) which will extract the music to ogg files. With Beyond Divinity the music is already in individual ogg files, so can be copied wherever you wish directly.

I hope someday Larian will release a tool to extract ALL tracks from D2 game resources.
The official OST has just a few ;<

Kiril and Matt Uelmen (Diablo/torchlight) are my favorite composers by far. There are a lot of good composers out there in the artistical world but being able to perfectly pass that talent into a computer game atmosphere is something very diferent.

I find interesting that both composers i mentioned, as soon as we listen a new tune from them, even if we never heard it before, we imidiately recognize it from his style. It hapened to me as soon as i played torchlight (in matt case) and as soon as i first heard the D2 site opening music (Kiril ofc)

Thanks for this.

DD has the best music I have ever heard in a game ever... its main theme is even more memorable than Morrowind's imo.
