The game is out now, also here in the netherlands. But i don't see the system requirements anywhere. Not on the official game site, not on larian's site (bit strange) and not on that of publisher DTP Entertainment. On the box of the game you only find some recommended specs, but not the minimum specs. So my question is: what are the system requirements for Divinity 2. Both minimum and recommend. The full list please.

There is a chart near the end of the topic Gamestar Review-Box Translation from GameStar.de with various CPU/GPU/RAM options, and how they would expect the game to run on that system (see the reply for a translation). This is a little out of date, as the second German patch should be included in other recent releases, which improved some graphics quality (among other things) and added additional graphics options. It should give you a rough idea, though. Welcome to the forum.

could you still play the game with a single core processor?

The game may be playable on a single core processor, depending on its class and speed. Maybe someone who has done so can give some feedback on the performance they got. One of the fixes in the second German patch (included in the English release) was improved performance on single core processors. At least based on the unpatched German release, Pentium 4 CPUs more than 3GHz may do ok, while AMD single cores experienced worse performance (see here).

I think my computer do not drive Divinity II Ego Draconis good with my sinle prossessor 1.6 GHtz and I'm afraid my videocard also not good ... Buy a new prossessor and videocard : I think more cost than 1 XBOX360! PC's, they're "OLD" after buying a little time ... héhé ... I can't follow it! But I'm so so so curious about this game Ego Draconis that I think about buying an XBOX360 and play on that console... (I'm from Belgium, so sorry for my language) Is someone playing this game on XBOX360? I think/understand : when I play on XBOX there is nothing to do with "System requirements"? Or is this a missunderstanding of me? Thanks for all response! Regards, Michael

Consoles have a default setting, so worry not.
As for single core processor gameplay; I tested it on a P4 @ 3.4 ghz, 1 Gb ram and a EN8500GT PC and tryed it at 1280x1024 resolution, and here are the results: Extreme settings; 5 FPS, looks great but is unplayable High; more than 5 FPS, but still unplayable. The Single Core optimised settings were horrible and unplayable aswell. SO i lowered the resolution to 1024x756. Extreme - unplayable High - unplayable Single core optimised - playble, but with only tree and shadow quality on low. Oh, and loading takes 2-3 minutes and movies, yes i said movies, lag like hell. So if you want to play Divinity 2 Ego Draconis, get a decent Dual core processor and at least a 8600 or equivalent.

Thanks for this information DeviRyuuD ;), I was already thinking my single core pc can't play Divinity II and my opinion about this is correctly ... not fine, but reality! Question: are there differences between the version on PC versus XBOX360? Yesterday I do a look on my TV and see I can't install an XBOX on my TV... but my PC flatscreen is a possibility I think. Who play divinity II on XBOX via PC-screen? And following question: can I play on PC-screen via XBOX without put my pc on?? (for saving a lot of energy using!!). Thanks for all response Greetings to you all, RPG-players

You have to have a special VGA Cable to play your Xbox on a PC monitor. Why can't you just plug it in tv?
The Obvious differences are Graphics and controls.

a 1.6 GHz single core is in every way out of date for Divinity 2.
I had a 2.1 GHz dual-core with 2 MB RAM and a Geforce 8500GT. Very low-end. It was laggy on low graphical settings, with resolution 1440x900. Sadly running on Vista with only 2GB DDR RAM sucks too.
I put € 120.00 into an ATI 4870 and it's doable on high, very nice on medium now. I think with 4GB DDR3 RAM, I'd probably be able to play it smoothly on high.

Ok, thanks for this new information I go ask all further questions about XBOX, my TV and PC-flatscreen when I think over buying something new: an Xbox or a new videocard and/or dual core. This last one I must sertainly have for D II and so I can see also more GB DDR3 RAM! I have now 1 GB DDR3 RAM. But I think I prefer an Xbox 360 ... But first I will think twice about all this ... My problem is now: money, because I have had very mutch costs with my automobile and this time of the year always more costs ... But I'm so so curious about playing D II ... Maybee when I wait many months (patience I have !) to buy D II and the things for my PC or an XBOX 360, the price go down ... Greetings, Michael

Know that when you go XBOX, your graphical quality will not be nearly as good as PC games. I always felt it was better to invest in some PC parts, for which the games are cheaper and which you use for other programs as well as games, than to buy a console which is more expensive in the long run, IMO.

Thanks swordscythe, but I prefer more the gameplay and quests and storyline than graphics. The graphics of Divine Divinity I found already beautifull! I'm sure Divinity II Ego Draconis is sertainly (also on XBOX!) good for my. I have reading on an xbox-forum about people who plays D II on xbox and the graphic-quality they find better than Dragon Age, another resently outcoming game. Another thing: first I can not buy an xbox, but "renting" one and "test" D II (also rent this game). Something I can't do with pc-games. This is my personal meaning: pc's always must many times over and over again do go upgrade them, not my thing hehe ... and for example, I also not thinking over "modding" any game, something isn't possible with a console-version. You're right: each console-game is more expensive, but on my way of buying games, that's not the point, because I buy few games... Greeting, Michael

In that case, all the more power to you! I'm sure you spend less on things than I do, then. Wanna buy Rise of the Argonauts? :-/
