Ive just finished maxos temple, but I dont know what area should be done next.
I read somewhere that after the battletower on sentinal island, broken valley
is inacessable and therefore you cant get to 0robas fjords. Is this correct?
I just thought you may have to complete all the quests in the Orobas fjords area
first before going to sentinal island. tks

you can get to broke valley via dragon form

sentinal island..just done it and now the quests point you to fjords

valley, just cant decide either to return the soul stone to lovis or
destroy it.

why destroy the stone?

then the spirits who were trapped cause of lovis his tirany wil be freed from their earthly prisson in wich maxos imprisoned them with lovis and amdusias. so its like raven says: destroy is good (wich i choose) and bring it to lovis gets you gold. but the spirits wont wil thank you for it. and btw: they wil also offer some rewards. not as plenty as lovis. but it satisfies. and u did a good deed^^

in my game I only can use it, then the only option I have is leave it alone, there is no way to destroy it

Don't forget that you have to be on the Blood Altar to destroy it.
