im sorry, after you chose. there is not redrawing to that. as the hints often say: think be4 you choose. for they wil be irreversable. only a save game wil help you in this matter.

the ppl you have to choose are:
The Slayer as you training in weapon arts. (not captain hermosa!)
the alchimist from the camp(not allan!)
the necromance with the Damian D on his forhead (i keep forgetting his name, and no! not his lil deputy!)
and as enchanter, the guy with his idiotic wife (not the drunk in the camp!)

thats all i can tell you. srry if this wil give you some hard work...

i chose :-

Necro = The deputy/apprentice guy
trainer = hermosa
enchanter = the guy with a wife
alchemist = the guy in the camp

i've won the game already. there's nothing particularly unsatisfactory about each of 'em. hermosa still can train u until skill lvl 13. the necro guy works okay. so does the enchanter and the alchemist.

i think the only difference is that each of these character has their own story thus their own quest to give after the sentinel island main quest. this quest are used to upgrade their services. if the alchemist quest has been completed. u can upgrade his service. u can make potions with less material(significantly less).

so imo, if u pick hermosa, u get a different quest than when u pick the other trainer. but the outcome after u solve those quests would be the same. u get upgrades to their services.

imo, it doesn't matter. maybe it gives different rewards for those different quests. i could not tell the difference exactly since i played through the game only once.

i knew about these different quest when i see the walkthrough from another website. for me there is nothing wrong with the choices i made. my creature is still powerful as hell. my character still can finish off the game easily in the end.

so... imo, just go on with ur game.

wel first of all. with all 8 u can win the game. but these particulair people have the best rewards. because they are (officialy) the best of their arts. just look at the necro and his deputy or the alchemist with 5 degrees and allan whos famous in the country side about his "allans brew"

so its up to you. and yes they do offer various quests to.

but for the rest, i think its totaly up to how you like a particulair person. i just took any1 wich seemed to be better then the other.

i suggested this way because i choose it myself. and i had nothing but succes with it.

Hi smile I just finished the game with the other 4 candidates. For me these guys are the best:

Alchemist--> Barbatos. He makes free boost potions (after you fetch him the book) and for the second platdorm upgrade he requires an amulet so you can drink the potion of wisdom yourself which Allan wants :P Does anybody know what his brew does anyway?? + for Allan's quest rewards you get only 1 skill book.

Trainer----> Hermosa. For the second platform upgrade she requires a sword not the book Demon Wars (or something). And if you read the book yourself you get 5 skill points! Like with Allan you get one skill book as a relard at best if you choose Kenneth.

Blacksmith-> Wesson. He has 2 platform upgrades ( for some reason Radcliff has only one) and you get skill books from each of his quests :P

Necromancer-> Didn't find any real difference :| but I prefer Joneloth. Becoming a master to a guy who poisons his former master (and abandend his first master) doesn't sound like a good idea to me xD

Is the level cap for skills taught by hermosa and the slayer trainer the same?
I have heard some suggestions that they might be capped for 13 and not 15 on one of them

having read all their minds:
the captain "knows" she is the best, but can't think of a way to put it into words without sounding like she is begging.
If you let the slayer know who his opponent is he will rush to challenge the captain to duel. Then finds out it is a woman and ask you to cancel the duel. If I let them fight, she wins and he dies. if you say no, she stammers a bit and excuses herself (the poor thing).

Allen thinks "I am such a bad liar". So, guess he is lying to me.

Igor (the young necromancer) thinks that the other necromacer focuses too much on physical defenses, "I" will augment magical defenses instead.
So I guess that changes which stat boosts your creature gets. I actually like igor, but I don't know if I will choose him.

The smith in the camp asks me to bring the other so they can have a sword forging competition... I will try that next and see the results.
EDIT: Radcliff won, even wesson admitted it. They both forged a sword, both have good physical damage and a charm slot, radcliff's has 3 additional enchantments slots a much higher magic damage.
oh, and a better "magical bonus" overall.

that being said, I am worried about this:

sounds like radcliff is bugged.

b) better fighter
c) more interesting quest
d) Dragon Slayers are all arrogant twits

I always pick Allan

a) other one is an arrogant pedantic twit
b) Allan brew

Necromancer: doesn't matter

Enchanter: I always pick the married one (don't want to make a widow out of his wife)

my choise:
treninger: dragon slaeyer, because i kind of loled that a dragon slayer will train a dragon rider, and busting his pupil out of jail is easy enouf

alchemist:
the dude at the camp: come on he has 5 degrees in alchemi, why would you pick some stupid monk that cant even say a stence right?

necro:
Igor, just because im a terry prachet fan

enchanter:
the dude with the wife, i made them show who can make a beter sword, the game seid that the drunk person did, but i find the sword of the dude with the wife -much- more usefull (here are the stats:
drunk dude sword: dmg:21-49 special sutff: +20 hp +10 mana, wife dude: 20-55 special stuff:+5 dmg)

No, the level cap for both trainers is 15. I'm just not sure if they level up different skills

Yeah, Radcliff wins but if you read both of their minds you will understand that Wesson's strong side is crafting armors not weapons. So that contest was a bit unfair ;P

I did, this is why I chose him.

I chose hermosa, for all the reasons stated above. (and she has better quest rewards). I let her beat the other guy in combat first... (it changed the reward from finishing the quest btw... not that it matters)
I chose Igor, because I just like him better, rewards are the same, and he gives magic resist to creature (vs physical resist of the other).
I chose Barbosa or whatever he is called, not allen, because he has 5 degrees, while allen thinks "man I am such a terrible liar"... plus, better quest rewards. And I read that allen brew is bugged (and I still couldn't find any description of what it does)
I chose Wessen, because while his sword was not as good, he is much better at armor and gems than he is at swords. Plus I like him better, and his quest rewards are massively better. (he also has 2 quests instead of 1)
