Just phoned up my local game to confirm that theyve got my preorder of Divinity 2 for both the 360 and PC. (they get them in the day before release)

they said that they havent got them and the reason being that the release date has been put back.

anyone else confirm this?

That's very weird...
The publisher confirmed tomorrow's release at the beginning of this week.
Which retailer is this?

I have just discussed the matter with the publisher and they don't know about any delay either...
It’s really hard to keep track of every partner let alone every retail location.

I am in the UK tomorrow, I for sure will be checking it out wink

Or I can smuggle a few copies into the country and put them in shops biggrin

My local Game shop doesn't have the game in there system.
Its an indie shop but they normally have all the new games.
They said check in tommorow If they don't have it, I'll have to wait until Saturday to got to another gamestore.

just phoned Game and Gamestation (Devon - UK)- same answer. havent got them, release date has altered.

so, is there a digital download version on any sites that i can buy the pc version from?
(like gamersgate, direct2drive, impulsedriven etc?)

edti - i see that gamersgate and gamesplanet have the digital downloads advertised, but im not purchasing until im sure that ill actually be able to download it today. doesnt say a release date, or if its actually available on either site.

Well can someone please tell me if Divinity 2 is being released in stores
in Australia, or only being sold online, because EB games has never heard of the
game before yet it was supposed to be released on the 13th according
to the Divinity 2 website?

I preordered my game from shopto.net, an UK based game shopping site. Yesterday they sent me a message to my cell phone that my game had been dispatched. So, I don't think the release date was changed.

maybe its just my local branches of these shops then. pretty poor distribution if they cant supply enough copies to all shops.

ill get the digital download for now from gamersgate (because gamesplanet doesnt seem to work right - cant select a payment option), hoping that patches that come out will work with the gamersgate digital download version and that its actually available to download today.

edit - yes it is available to download now.
got my serial code and its downloading approx. 6gig @ 852kb/s

I'm a collector of role playing games, so I always prefer boxed version over digital download. I don't like to connect to internet everytime I want to play the game. I only buy downloadable copies of games from gog.com where I can play old classics without any problem on my new system.

Then order it from shopto.net. Divinity 2 is in their stocks now. But, for some weird reason, the game can only be seen in the Nintendo Wii section.

ive ordered both from amazon. ill get it tomorrow using their prime service assuming that the listing of 'in stock' is correct.

and i can play it today without the need for a disk using the gamersgate version.

i think securom is listed for all versions copy protection so ill keep the digital version installed.

Maybe UK retailers are starting to do what US retailers started to do a while ago. I can't pick up most smaller games like this from a Gamestop or EB, as both of those stores stopped doing pre-orders for these less popular titles in-store. Instead, they only offer them available for pre-order online.

My Favorite RPGs: Divinity franchise, Gothic franchise (including Arcania, so I think I'm alone...), Venetica, Risen, Two Worlds II, The Witcher, Sacred franchise, Fallout franchise, Mass Effect 1, Alpha Protocol, Planescape: Torment, Drakensang, KOTOR 1 & 2, etc.

Didn't get much promotion thats why, I reckon it'll be gem lost in the dirt!
A Game shop has it in, so I'm going there tommorow smile

I just picked up Divinity 2 from EB.
Funny though, since I went there 2 days ago and they
didn't even know that the game existed.
Oh well, at least I got the game.
