Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems Freeze when about to load cinematics

It freezes when its about to load the cinematics after the first dragon section(when you first get the dragon form) where your about to go back to the battle tower.The thing is at one point I got past this but forgot to save so when I loaded it back in it was doing it again,freezing.I have tried all sorts of things,cleaning the cd,rebooting,reinstalling,installing directx off the CD,resaving,replaying section etc.

My computer AMD 64 dual core Processor 6000+
Ati Radeon HD4850 (1Gig Gram)
4 Gb ram
Windows XP 64 SP2

Doesn't feel like the game has crashed though as its still responding,can Alt F4 on it and Alt tab.

This is the video but I tried renaming it to see if an error would occur but it does the same thing:

Ok the Cinematics finally kicked in on a load and I made sure I saved it when it got passed it.

I reloaded the save before the cinematics just to see if they would play again but they did not.All I can say is both times the Cinematics kicked in was a first run after having not played it for a bit.I think both times it was first run after a reboot but not absoluttely positive , I have tested rebooting before and had the problem still so it might be a combination of things that made it work along with the reboot.

I think Im going to keep the save for when its patched so I can see wether its fixed.For now Im ok I can start playing again.

You can try to replace BV_Destruction.wmv file with another video file from Video/ folder.

Nope didn't work,tried a few times.Its a very odd bug and hard to solve when very occasionally it doesn't come into effect.Its the only time I had a problem with loading and its quite far into the game so hopefully I wont see a similar problem later.

Oh there is another thing I get when I put game on highest screen mode 1680*1050 I get screen garbabge but its ok on the next widescreen mode down(1360*768) personally Im not that concerned about it.By the way because of this I did wonder wether lowering the setting right down to 320*200(and other settings on lowest) would fix the freeze problem but no effect.
