Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems Game will not exit properly

I have windows 7 32 bit and the UK version of the game. I initially had the never ending loading screen which I resolved using the compatability mode fix. But the main problem is that when I exit the game it will not shut down itself, I have to Alt-Tab open task manager and end the process. I then get a message telling me that Divinity 2 has stopped responding.
Has anyone suffered this problem?

Computer specs are:
Intel Q9650,
Asus P5Q Deluxe,
XFX GTX 280,
Creative XFi Titanium,
4GB Corsair Dominator PC28500
Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
