i and many others have had problems where setting certain resolutions the game goes blank an renders nothing but you can still move an hear voice an things.

well in the options it lists resolutions up to 1680 x 1050

well heres something interesting

go in the game an set the res to 1680 x 1050 save the options an quit to desktop.

go to your programe files an go to app data an go local an go to the divinity 2 folder with your profile an save games.

it should have the options file there.

open it up an you will notice 1680 x 1050 is actually set to in the config file as 1600 x 1200

meaning some monitors like mine do not run 1600 x 1200 meaning my screens goes blank because my monitor cannot do that resolution.

change the res in the config file to what you want it to be an it should then be perfectly fine.

You told people to go to program files so people not familiar with file structures you sent on a wild goose chase. He meant User Data then App Data then Local. AND when he say "AN" I think he means "and". Hard to tell.

yeah I'm using XP and it was a little troublesome to locate that file with the directions given, but I do appreciate the effort

seems like a rather glaring problem, how exactly could something like this get past QA? Or is it just on the UK version?

Hi.

C:\Documents and Settings\Ryu\Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2

XP saved game path.

My username is Ryu, but yours will have a different name.

Also, the local settings folder is hidden, you need to unhide folders to see it.

Native res 1680x1050.
I tried this, but when I change the graphicoptions.xml, it automatically reverts to the 1600x1200 when Divinity 2 is closed.
The game itself does the same thing (reverts back to 1360x765 on restart).
I'm glad this seems to work for some people, but it doesn't for me.
Or am I doing something wrong? I'd really like to see this fixed.
It seems like a very nice game but I refuse to play at 1360x765.

How do you unhide hidden folders?

My screen goes 1440x900 but the game still only works at 1280x800 and no higher. Even after changing all that stuff its still either pixilated or blank, and just so people will stop saying its my pc, here it is:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 3328MB RAM
Hard Drive: 320 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+
Monitor: X19.3w
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234)

For anyone else needing to find this file, you don't need to unhide the folders (at least one person had Windows freak out in the middle of doing that), just change Windows Explorer's setting to show hidden files and folders: XP, Vista, Win 7.
