Sorry, I go off-topic think

Many times I read reactions from people they are (a little bit) disappointed about the end of Divinity II ...

I play in first place this game, ( and I had the same feeling by DD) because I love it simply playing and playing over and over again, realy, so it is ... and for me, "the end" isn't the most important thing :hihi: !
In particular DD I have start at least 40 times from the beginning ... !

Maybe a strange voice in my head (no, not Talana! - she is too impatient for me, bah! lol) that overwhelmed me so that I prefer endless playing, but not do the final battle ... grin grin

Yup, i did the same thing, realized that for the quests i was getting from the thousands of exp points i was spending from mind reading, i wasnt even getting an exp profit, just 1 less to do and maybe some crap weapon that i already had 10 of lol, best way i leveled up was basically just, as soon as i can turn into the dragon, just go straight to those flying fortresses and kill all the dragons (except commanders cos they are impossible at that level) and blow up all the defences, you can get anything from 1500-2500 exp per kill depending what it is you kill lol...

Killing a level 28-29 when your only level 19-21 is a rather large amount of exp laugh

The strategy ravage mentiones works really good, though I have one thing to add to it: make sure you have either the healing spell of the healing ghost. As a dragon, you generate mana really quickly. So when you're low on health, fly away, regenerate some mana, land on a platform and turn human, heal yourself, get back up in the air and regenerate mana!
At the low levels you can get beauten up pretty quick, so save often. It's really worth the risk, all those experience points! laugh

I'm now Level 19 but haven't my Battle Tower laugh ... I will first go to explore Orobas Fjords and whole Sentinel Islands and make sure I do all quests I can in Brocken Valley ...
But I'm curious too how it is to change from human into Dragon and vice versa and how I skill my Dragon form and so on ..
But I'm patient too because I enjoy whole Divinity II from the beginning on till now !! wink
I love to travel in this world and many times I'm suprized discover new things that I don't see(n) the first time I came on a place! I enjoy the nature, the big trees, the sky, mountains, NPC's, waterfalls, rivers and lovely it is to swim in the water!!

First time I was going to Orobas Fjords, I was a Level 13 hero and each enimie (level 18!) I killed gave me more that 1000 XP smile !
I mindreading almost each NPC I can. But not always from the beginning because sometimes I go explore and discover first a little about that NPC ...

Hehe, I think I was lvl. 19 too JUST before I battled Laiken and claimed MY battletower. There isn't too much to do on Sentinal Island though, and don't bother trying to find this Spellbook high up in some strange rock/tree. You can pick it up later!

O, but I have find many quests to solve here on Sentinel Islands and also hidden secrets and a beautiful sky and I go also for a little swimming héhé ... and find hidden treasures when go on places only accessible via swimming laugh ... and now, before enter the Battle Tower and deal with Laiken, I go back to Brocken Valley and Orobas Fjords because now I'm stronger than before (on that moment L 13) I go to Orobas Fjords ... and there is something to do in the "Mines" ...
And yes, I was thinking about that ship in that big tree ... I have the feeling I know how to solve that quest Willem wink

... I take my time to solve quests, kill enemies, explore area's, go for trading, study weapons and armour, skills and so on .... laugh ... that's my way to play this RPG wink
For me this game has a loooong play time!! I evaluate that I do at least more that 100 hours playing before I end up in the finale battle.

I think you need to do the side quests to build up your character. Also, the side quests are a lot of fun and really contribute to immersion in the game world. It's all part of a fairly unified whole, although you may not have to do the side quests. I think you'll miss out by going that way.

Regarding the magic spell book in the ship, its better to use it yourself than turning it in for the quest, as you gain 2 skill points by using it, where turning in for the quest only provide you with few k exp only.
