not sure if this has been addressed elsewhere in the forum. if so, just point me in the right direction.

ok, here's my problem. I'm a Lvl 8 Range/Melee Warrior (for now) and a hoarder by nature. which means i'm overburdened most of the time. unfortunately, it's herbs and ores that're taking up most of the space. so any advice as to whether i should hold on to them or just dump 'em all first chance i get?

where's a good Scroll of Town Portal when you need one? wink

I had the same trouble til about lvl 18/19 when you do get a storage option... but I wont tell you how as I dont want to ruin the story/game/suprise for you.

The best advice I can give you is to ensure you find the alchemist to brew your herbs ibti potions, the enchanter to use the gems/ore and you can insert any charms into items (I didnt discover this til recently)

Other than that I did find I ended up selling weapons and gear I possibly could have used in favour of what seemed the best choice at that time.

I hope that helps a little, but I'm sure the good guys and girls on here will have some other and possibly better solutions.

ok.. haven't run into any alchemists or enchanters yet.

but that poses another question however. do i need to then hang on to the scroll (recipes) for the potions/enchantments?

I had the same problem ... but I change my strategy later on in the game:
There're all that waypoint scrines for quick travel through the world. All the "loot" I can find in the suroundings of a waypointcrine I let it on his place and come back later to pick it up (herbs, Ore, Gem and things I don't need immetiately), but I place a flag on my map so I can "see" ... Only Gold I pick always up because I think gold give NO extra weight?

And I put 3 points in the skill "Packed and Ready" (up to 160 (weight?) you can carry).

Later on, when you have your Battle Tower and Trainer, I have read, you can unlearn a skill and put skillpoins in another skill. So in that case I have the possibility to unlearn Packed and Ready because now I have a Battle Chest to put 300(max) in.

There're many possibilities to play D II and solve problems on your own way, Great, isn't it? wink
But also this Forum is Great! Learn from each other and take a helpfull hand for ech other smile

Sorry, I see now you other question ...
Do you mean that recipes are the Formula's? : "Formula for Limited Healing" and others?

Once you have used a formula, you can sell the copy's, because I think one Formula comes several times in the game. Try things out and find the place for making potions or for enchanting weapons and other equipment ... success ! wink

ah ok thanks a lot!! that little bit with the spoiler really helped ;-) UNLEARN a skill! now that will come in handy!

you see my problem was that i didn't want to invest skill points in Packing.. always thought they'd be of better use elsewhere. but with the option to unlearn at some point that'd be great! need to lose that damned 'blade-armed zombie' too. guess his brains were the first to go! wink

If it's not a rhetorical question - there is no such thing in D2.

What in the name is a "Scroll of Town Portal" ??? Who can explain me such a thing?

In first place, I thought 'Zachus' means something like a "teleport piramid" ... ?

"Scroll of Town Portal" is a well-know thing from Diablo (and diablo-clones after). Creates a portal which teleports you to the town (obviously). The nice aspect here is that you can use the same still opened portal to teleport back in to dungeon.
Like the "Fast-travel" feature in TES4.

Ok, thanks wink
But I haven't play Diabolo or TES4 or others ... the reason I don't know of it laugh

I find it a little bit sadly in D II :
why they don't put/set a waypointscrine IN Brocken Valley VILLAGE ...

yes the 'Scroll of Town Portal' was a reference to the old Diablo game. sorry if i confused anyone smile was just being wishful. it does seem like i'm doing a lot of running in the Valley. guess it keeps the ol' Slayer turned Knight fighting fit!

@Joram.. u should try the Diablo series. they're like the grand daddy of all fantasy rpg's (imo)..

don't know TES4.. care to enlighten?
