Hello everybody,

First of all, I'd like to warn you for spoilers. Spoilers about the plot and the ending of the game. It's quite a lot of text, so I figured spoiler tags would be irritating.

I've started this topic because I'm stuck with some unanswered questions about the story, some things don't make sense in my book. Let's go.

1. Ygerna tricks the main character in believing there is a soul forge between her and Damian, which will kill Damian once she is rivived. I understand she can trick the main character, but how can she trick other people? Is it a lie commonly known to the people of Rivellon? Did she trick Zandalor as well, because he is helping me reviving Ygerna?

2. Why does Zandalor support me in entering the Hall of Echoes? He knows I have to enter Ygerna's memory and prevent her execution. Zandalor was present when Ygerna was beheaded. So he must realize that when I enter Ygerna's memory, I'd meet Zandalor and kill him there, thus killing him in the 'future' as well. Am I wrong?

3. Why aren't there any Dwarves, Elves or Orcs in this game? I have played Divine Divinity and you'll meet all of them. I haven't read every book in the game, so if it's in there, tell me and I will take another look at them.

That's what I've been wondering about for some time now.

Congratulations, Willlem! You're the X-one (there is just a small amount of them) who realized that the game's plot suck ass and has many flaws.

Now, back to some of your questions (since you already made the thread and commit your own contribution into "lets-make-a-dump-forum-with-junkie-threads" project):

Ok, I understand, new game requires new enemies/monsters etc, but... dragon elf? Well, yeah, some ppl "like" animals, lol, but how in the hell DD1's elves changed their sexual orientation and from "tree-huggers" (that's a quote from dd1!) turned into "lizard lovers"? Elves + cold-blooded lizards? C'mon. SENSE, it makes none.
Same applies for goblin. Where these guys are from? They just... "appeared" in Rivellon? From where? There is no reference about these guys in previous games.
It is not like I against new creatures, bit can be there a little explanation for them? "Deus Ex"-elements always looks silly."

Dwarfes and other creatures from DD1 can be added to that picture as well. One word: SUDDENLY.


Well, if you've watched the last FMV you should know already that Ygerna wasn't able to contact anyone before she take control over you (so, there was no origin of that lie). Don't even ask how she did that - on russian forums we tried to discuss some possibilities (within games' plot rules), but they make no sense, just like the whole game's plot. Many questions - no answers. And looks like devs don't even bothered to make some story base and give some hint/clues about what in hell happens in games's story.

So, I suggest you just... forget about that and don't care. Like I did.

Okay, thanks for the answers. But please, be a bit more friendly. It seems you get annoyed pretty quickly when people 'spoil' this forum by making 'junk threads'. No offense, but I just noticed.
I searched, but appearantly not with the right words. And I've searched before, as I have asked many questions before, in threads already existing.

Yeah, I can understand that. I do understand it though. Imagine you have one question and can't find the answer. You register, post a thread and you'll your answer and off you go.
It's a pity, yeah.

See? You're able to understand! So, you must be able to use search func properly. Like I did and got exactly correct result within few mins :P

Understanding and always paying attention, are two different things. I'll be more careful though, don't worry.

Maybe you can me explain HOW I(we) can use the "search func" of this forum in the right way?
Because when I search, most of the time I didn't find what I expected to find!

Probable I do something wrong ... but sorry ... I don't understand "how" to use the search function SO that I find what I'm looking for .
