Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems This is not a Win32 application

Ok , so i just bought this awsome looking game and when i try to install it i get 'this is not a valid win32 application' error and it just closes it off. i have tried all the compatibility modes, i swapped the game disk for a new one. it is definatley something on my pc that is causing it as i tried on a mates pc and it worked fine.

I am using:

XP service pack 3
amd cpu
gigabytre m/b
nvidia g/c

Turn off any program for Recording Dvd (Alcohol, Clone Dvd, etc)
Try to disable any innecesary software before to install it.

done all that still doing the same thing.

ok i found out what the problem was. if your using a Liteon SOHD-16P9S you will need to do a firmware update located on the Liteon website.
