Is "Divinity II: Ego Draconis" (Xbox 360 Version) really and truly worth pre-ordering from GameStop???

Do you want the game? Do you want the Xbox version? Do you want the bonus armour and weapon?
If so, then it is worth pre-ordering from GameStop. evil

Seriously, though, what is you main concern, whether it is worth getting the game, whether it is worth getting right away or whether the armour set and claymore make it worth ordering from GameStop?
I am definitely getting the game right away by pre-ordering. The best computer I have access to now barely meets the minimum specs, so I'm considering getting an XBox until I can afford to build a decent computer. Personally, though, the bonus set isn't enough to sway where I pre-order from (especially since I wouldn't be surprised to get a Best Buy or Future Shop gift card for Christmas).

There is a demo being worked on, though I don't know if it will be out before the game.

There are gameplay videos and trailers on the D2:ED site, as well as Youtube, etc.

Is divinity 2 worth the money?

Better then Dragon Age?

You can try the demos of Divine Divinity or Beyond Divinity to get an idea how indepth their quests and storylines go.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

As regards the particulars of your question: I don't know. But to answer the more general spirit of your question, i.e. 'is the game worth getting?",I would definitely have to answer 'yes.' Divinity 2 is a fantastic game, though not one without a few flaws -- most or all of which are being addressed by subsequent an upcoming patch(es).

I don't have the game but with my research i would have to give a solid YES!

If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.

Why pre-ordering when you can order after it comes out and gets reviews? Never really understood that part \:

There have been a fair number of reviews already. Generally if you are familiar with a particular developer or game series, or are highly anticipating a particular game based on various previews, then you may not want to wait longer than necessary to get it.
There can also be price breaks or various bonuses for pre-ordering (though not much with the English version of D2:ED; the German collector's edition was the same price as the regular edition pre-ordering from amazon.de, and one place had a free D2:ED t-shirt for pre-ordering).
