Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems FIX IT!!!!!

I can't stand this! i waited 7 years for this game to come out and it gets stuck on a loading screen?!?! not cool!!! this is my favorite game series so i would love some kind of patch in the NEAR future.

it freezes on the loading screen that is just after the ship and river cutscene. which is right after becoming a dragon slayer to be more specific. I have no idea what triggers it but i know that my computer meets the requirements. it runs the game just fine but gets stuck in the same spot no matter what i do.

Please find a solution soon. i really want to play this game.

sorry...im just trying to let off steam right about now cuz people keep yelling at me that i have the EU version and not the american version. its kinda bs cuz i live in america and just bought it yesterday. im pretty sure its american.

it would be nice to have a patch tho cuz this is kinda uncool.

We all have waited 7 years and none of us want to see a fellow gamer with these problems. Let us know in this thread if your problem was resolved.

Larian is also coming out with another patch that you'll want to be checking back here for.

yea. i hear u on that one. if i catch wind of the patch ill try and post it on here. ^_^

but yea. i heard they r coming out a patch but it might not be for another month or two. so ill keep my eyes open. you should do the same. if the patch is released let me kno in a pm cuz i might not be here when it is released. (school and all)

i really dont think i have patched it yet. its up to date (i made sure to check the update thing they include in the game disc)

7 years? I thought the D2 developing process started in 2004?


There was a couple of threads in this section related to "never loading screen" issue, have you tried the suggested solutions? There is a plenty of them. Do something, spend some time and read forums.

Whe *want* one solution: the patch.

first of all, yes some of us have waited 7 years because we happen to have a good sense of whether or not they are going to have a sequal.

second, i have already read the whole "never ending loading screen.." forum and tried multiple things. none with the results i desire. I have read other forums as well, including the "patch" forum by one the admins.

And LightningLockey (and anyone else) feel free to talk about other problems on this forum cuz im quite curious.

You may not get one if Larian will not be able to reproduce that issue.

It is not our problem. We are customers.

IIRC someone from Larian said some time ago they were working on getting a computer that exhibited this problem, and they did solicit feedback and information from people experiencing it, which would presumably at least help them narrow things down.

That said, if there are known solutions that have helped in some cases, it is hardly a stretch to suggest they be tried. A fix is still needed for this and other problems, though, and I'm sure Larian realizes that sooner would be better.

I'm out of options on what can cause this. It sounds like an installation problem. You can try and return the dvd for a new one and see if that solves it. If you purchased a digital download, then I'd try and see if you can redownload it from their website.

If they want a computer that can reproduce this bug, can't they buy one of OUR computers?! This isn't one person having an issue. This is a VERY OBVIOUS bug.

If you are talking about the movie that takes you OUT of farglow, simply skip the ending dialog with rhode as fast as you can. Don't wait for it to finish by itself.

That should take you passed this loading screen problem.
