Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Can find my character

Hi all-

I apologise if this has been dealt with before but I didn't find a suitable answer on my search.

I have installed the latest patch (1.0034a, I believe) but I am still having a problem. After leaving the catacombs in the beginning (I restarted the game after installing the patch), the screen is black and no amount of searching can help me to find my character. I tried turning off and on the scroll lock but to no avail. The minimap and the control panel at the bottom of the screen appear fine but all I get in the main view is black.

Any suggestions?

I think I fixed the problem. Caps lock appears to cause the same problem as scroll lock! Oooops!

Problem: I’ve lost focus of my player character
You most likely have your shift-lock key on which puts the game in non-focus-on-player-character mode. Switch it off and the game will jump back to your player character.
