Hello Everybody i am new here I really like Beyond divinity i did all quest beside 1 in academy level 3 where need to get third doll. I wanted to ask: i Finished the Beyond divinity, and i didn't really understood the Story( i understood but not all the story) I didn't Finished the Divine Divinity only saw the ending. The baby from Divine Divinity Wasn't killed and is it a Demon of lies or chaos Aka Damian The Death knight right? and in the end of the beyond Divinity Movie he is says: "...The taste of freedom is Sweet indeed So many nights i have spend dreaming to Destroy The one Who Imprisoned me the one who extinguished a single Candle of Light in my life i have Become the Darkness it self Revenge Will be mine" *Going Up Stairs" Who imprisoned him? why he imprisoned him? why he want revenge? where he went? What happened to paladin From Beyond divinity(Hero you play as all game,i have almost beat death knight and he Rifted me away.) what is Nemesis or Revillon Does Divinity 2 Have the Death knight? or Damian(don't Tell me Spoilers just tell if he in the game) p.s i want to beat Beyond Divinity on Hardcore now i know that i will have to fight Death knight and i will focus more on my hero( i really liked death knight more than my hero) What Skills to chose?(i chosen Bow for hero and 2 handed slashing for DK but now i see people said to let DK use Bow)in academy i had 2 handed Shadow for DK and i did Slashing :S forgot to change it) when i beat the game i had 60 str 49 agi 45 Con For bow but i changed to 2 handed shadow becouse i had powerfull Sword and i didn't did damage to death knight with Bow. What Stats i need for Bow and what stats for 2 hand slashing? STR AGI and CON? and what Intial skill to chose when i start the game(warrior and warrior?) Sorry For long Questions,Please help guys.

My post in the topic can someone sum up the story answers most of your questions. The baby from the end of DD is Damian, who is the main bad guy in D2:ED. I don't know if you find out what happened to the paladin from BD. The backstory for D2:ED involves Damian starting a war, somehow getting the dragons to switch to his side and kill the Divine One, after which he withdrew his forces. The dragons killing the Divine One resulted in the formation of the order of the dragon slayers, which you start of joining in D2:ED, and the almost extinction of the species. Rivelon is the planet/realm in which DD and D2:ED take place; Nemesis is the planet/realm Damian was banished to. The stats and skills you choose for the DK do not matter for the final fight, though you may want to give the hero any permanent potions, etc that you find throughout the game. If the DK uses an agility or intelligence based weapon/spell, he can neglect strength (and thus boost other stats more), as he doesn't need it for armour requirements. As you found, though, it isn't necessary to optimize your build that much to be successful, even on hardcore. Just before you enter the final rift, you can have the DK unlearn all of his skills, and invest them in summoning doll upgrades (they are not that tough, even upgraded, but the act 1 doll can equip a crossbow, so can provide decent support if kept out of direct combat). I used a bow (and power arrows) for my hero in the final fight, and didn't have any problems doing damage. I chose warrior/warrior for the initial skill classes, which worked out well (I had the DK continue to use slashing damage, while my hero used a club or walking stick for much of the first act, before switching to a bow or crossbow full time in the citadel). I don't think it makes a huge difference, though, as you can learn any of the skills later in the game; choosing the classes just determines which initial skills are available. Welcome to the forum.

You should be able to change the graphics options in the demo, but they are not saved when you exit (or the audio options). Presumably this is to encourage people to get the full game, rather than play the demo through multiple times, or something. I don't recall anyone having a problem with not being able to change any graphics options, though. Damian is the bald guy who looks at the necklace/medallion; I assume it belonged to his executed girlfriend, or was a gift from her. The guy chasing after the dragon was the main character, or one of the other dragon slayers. I do not know if there are any death knights in D2:ED. The Divine One was human, the main character in DD (you start off as one of three marked ones, and after the other two prove themselves to dumb to live, you perform a blessing ceremony to become the Divine One). I did complete BD, on tactical. Nobody that I know of has started selling D2:ED early in Canada, so it is going to be another week before I can play D2:ED. I installed the demo on a laptop that didn't quite meet the minimum specs, but response was too sluggish for acceptable play, so I just uninstalled it. The math appendix in the Beyond Divinity Strategy Guide gives some general suggestions for stat point distribution. There is a typo in the last formula in the 'other secondary stats' section; in the formula for evasion, the second term should be speed, rather than survival. You are past this point, but the topic Killing Fergus contains a bit of discussion on stat distribution, as well. Unlike in DD where most warriors pretty much ended up averaging 2 strength, 2 agility and 1 constitution per level, there are many more ways to build an effective character in BD. Some people have made high agility warriors, or high strength or balanced, or something else suited to their playstyle. Your reputation doesn't have a big influence in the game, though a higher reputation will raise merchant prices (unlike in DD where prices would drop). There is no bonus if you get you reputation above any point (maybe bragging rights?).

Thanks you again. Demo Little Buggy with options i think. DD2:ED Released Already?(can i buy it?)
Killing Fergus was Not so Hard be he had a lot more health on Hardcore i didn't Even Used the Healing Water. only 1-2 Potion. I had to Visit Battlefield to buy some potions because on hardcore there is more monsters and each room and area, Example:When you go to the "Boney monster"(spider)i head near like 20 Skeletons :S was really hard but then i used the warrior second ability(whipe i think(never used it before)) Example: on action i had 1 ghost inside the room near the PIT(with 2 spiders and "traps") in Hardcore i had 3 GHOST!@#!@# after 3 sec if no lucky misses my DK had no health so i had to fast Potion him on right moment. Example:in place where you first meet tax after coming inside the portal i had to Fight 7-8 Skeletons Mage's.
P.s You did all Quest? OR Monsters? I found new good way to kill Samuel Demoic Guards Use sneak and shoot with bow only 2 will come and not all 4.(i hope they not more than 4 in hardcore)
p.s Nice Guide,Thanks.

Technically the North American release for D2:ED is Jan 5th, but in the US Gamestop and Best Buy have started selling it early.
I did all the quests and defeated all the monsters in BD in the main game. I skipped most of the monsters and all dungeons in the battlefields, and just visited there for the merchants. I only played a bit in the after-game BFs.
With Samuel's guards, you can also take the stairs out to heal, etc, and return to the fight. I'm pretty sure there are only 4 guards in hardcore, as well; they are just a little tougher.

AFAIK there is no way to keep the DK for the after game BF.
For the Raanaar doll, you can skip having it restored if you avoid the main room on the fifth level of the catacombs after you get the 3 symbols the goddess asks for. I think that is explained in the strategy guide (didn't try it myself).
I didn't raise my intelligence stat very much, since I didn't need that much mana, but you shouldn't cause any problems with a modest boost, even mostly using melee attacks. Hammer is quite effective, and should help throughout the game.
Asmodheus likes to make deals that he can technically fulfill, but which are not what the other party wanted, or expected.
The Raanaar ghosts are stuck in the past, having lost the memories for some time before their deaths, and reliving a time before the recent war with the demons (or maybe they just don't want to remember). They have some awareness of their surroundings, but recognize you as Damian (it is not a physical likeness, as you can customize your character appearance a fair bit, and play as a male or female). It is likely they are in a kind of dream state, and encountering a human, they work that into their dream by treating you like Damian, the only other human they have had close contact with. At least some of what they say are repeats of previous conversations with Damian.
Damian is evil, and was consumed with thoughts of revenge. He blamed the Raanaar for not letting him leave Nemisis. He wanted the crystal to try to get back to Rivellon, and didn't care about the consequences.
Since you like BD you would most likely enjoy DD as well. There is a 400MB demo, if you want to try it out. The CD/DVD version is still available on eBay, etc, and there is a digital download version that was updated to support higher resolutions (US$5-6 on Impulse/GOG). There are a couple issues with the download version, though, and a patch should be coming out soon/eventually (some NPCs spin in place, particularly one involved in a cutscene in the church, and a few people have had problems with enemy magic causing crashes or not being able to pick up items or use stairs near one or more locations in the Dark Forest).

Sometimes a bit of blue can show up in the auto-map (or mini-map) when the entrance is hidden behind a wall. I don't think hitting the alt key will highlight them, but if you move the mouse cursor back and forth across an area, you should notice the mouse-over description when you find one.
There is one summoning doll per act. I pretty much only used the act 1 doll, though, mostly as a mule, a couple times as a trap detector, and occasionally as support in tough fights (using a crossbow somewhere out of direct combat). I had 2 dolls at the end of act 3, as well (didn't think to try to avoid having what's-her-name restored).
I saved before doing what I was warned not to, and briefly had a pink DK. I preferred black, though, and there was no great reward to compensate for the colour change, so I reloaded.
The after game BF consists of a smallish temple building filled with rifts. Each time you enter a rift it generates a new BF (one of the act 1-4 BFs).
The act 3 and 4 BFs have Blood Knights. There is a Death Knight in act 4, though you do not necessarily have to fight him.

I think DD is generally considered to be better than BD, though of course individual opinions vary. There are some aspects I liked better in BD, and some things I liked better in DD. There is no BF or random quests in DD, but there is more of an open world, with lots of places to explore. I don't know if there is a huge difference in total size between games, but DD feels more open and immersive, with access to most of the gameworld from the start. There is a single character in DD and the skill system is different, but the music, writing, quests, etc are similar. There are a few quests where you can choose the solution, but not as much as in BD. Stealing is much better in DD, as NPCs will react if they see you, and their opinion drops accordingly; some NPCs are very touchy about their stuff, and react badly even if you just move something, or try to get into a back room. DD can have a few challenging parts, especially at the beginning. It tends to get easier as it progresses, though. There are exploits and effective skills in both games to make fights easier, but overall I'd say DD has more options for dealing with difficult parts, and if things start to get too easy you can always choose a handicap or increase the difficulty setting (I bought and saved charms, but by the time I had equipment good enough to use them on, I didn't need the extra bonus). I re-loaded too much to make sure I got the best equipment, though, so the relative ease of the end game was partly my fault.
I'm not sure where you are in BD, but can you approach with just your melee character, and then lead the mages back to your archer (set to aggressive)? They should spread out a bit running after your hero and be low on stamina by the time they get in range of your DK (making them easier to hit, with less of an offense).
It couldn't hurt to upgrade a summoning doll. You could try just summoning them all, though; even at their starting levels, a brief distraction could allow your main characters time to take out one or two of the mages before they start hitting you.
I upgraded the skeleton so he could use a crossbow, and tried to keep him out of melee combat. You can always save and try upgrading the other doll, to see how well he does. I used the other 2 dolls as temporary distractions for the final fight, but don't recall if one did significantly better than the other (without being upgraded).
