Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Vacca's Gem (spoilers)

I stole Vacca's green gem from his cave on Sentinel Island, and when he said give it back I said no and killed him. So I failed the quest but I figured, "Hey I got this gem that Laiken dropped, should be good for something....". But so far I haven't found a single use for it, and it is in the regular inventory not the quest items. It's worth 5000 gold so I'm thinking about just selling it unless there actually is a good use for it...... Anyone know???

Its just something useless, where serve as income when selling to merchant. You wont need to kill vacca for it. Just loot it while in his cave, sell it before returning to him to turn in the quest, and you wont have to fail a quest.

I think when I walked out he automatically engaged me in conversation, maybe not though. I just wanted to know if I could sell it for some more Battle Tower upgrades.....

There wont be any conversation cut scene once you walk out of the cave, unless you talk to vacca 1st yourself. As I said, its just a source of income if you sell it, else just wasting one of your inventory slot. Nothing more.
