Yes, but I've hit a point where enemies are a level higher than I am, and they come in groups. I can't seem to find a way to advance. I'm level 9, mage, and have completed most of the first part of Broken Valley, down to the Bandit Camp. I guess I'll have to wait for a trainer. confused

You can always use the hit and run tactic. I dont see the needs of trainer.

Yeah, I'm a hit and run guy, lol.

My Favorite RPGs: Divinity franchise, Gothic franchise (including Arcania, so I think I'm alone...), Venetica, Risen, Two Worlds II, The Witcher, Sacred franchise, Fallout franchise, Mass Effect 1, Alpha Protocol, Planescape: Torment, Drakensang, KOTOR 1 & 2, etc.

Oh yes, I do hit and run when I can, and try to pick them off one by one. But, sometimes it gets too much and I use up my potions. I can't afford as many potions as I need. frown I really need someplace where I can grind to level 10.

And yes, I've killed all the enemies in the dungeons/tunnels.

Me too find the game a challenging, especially in the beginning of the game, and I play whole game on the lowest difficulty!

So, it's for sure not a shame to play (the first time) on the lowest difficulty. wink
But maybe you play already on that lowest difficulty?
So sorry than for this stupid advice smirk

On 7th of february 2015 : I start a new adventure in the Divinity world of Original Sin,
it's a Fantastic Freaking Fabulous Funny ... it's my All Time Favorite One !

Until there is a patch, and if it includes balanced arrow dodging, plus more quests to help me level when needed, or some grinding of enemies to get that level--I'm not playing. I will wait for a trainer. I'm very disappointed. Not all of us have ability to play this hard game. I'm not recommending it to my friends.

Actually, some areas/quests are easy enough, it's when you run into groups of bandits with auto-targeting that makes you give up.

if you go through and do EVERYTHING you wont be short of experience, ive had no problems killing things in the game. but does anyone know how to get the 3 different seeds once you go into the gorge place?

I don't see why a mage would have trouble. Just throw fireballs until everything is dead. Hide behind trees/pillars if you encounter many ranged enemies.
