Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Melee/Magic damage?

Hello.

Basically I want to know if magic damage is worth it for a pure melee character.

I have 3 good 1 handed weapons (for the point of the game I am in) and I can either get 345-405 melee only, 310-360 (46-46) melee plus magic or 295-355 (96-150) melee plus magic.

The first combo gives me the bes pure melee, the last gives me the best total damage (if magic damage is included).

Which is better to have?

You can always equip them and do testing on mob, then check your battle log to see which dual wield combo give you best damage. By just looking at the numbers, 295-355(96-150) should provide you slight higher damage output
