I'm out of potions, level 19, cannot find herbs anywhere in the world, all the vendors are cleaned out, and the cat's pregnant.

I'm so frustrated with the skills. I appreciate that there's a little movie that plays showing you what happens when used, but I don't get a practical use of them to determine what I should have.

If I could only respec when I want I would enjoy the game more (I understand this is available later AFTER getting the tower.. which doesn't help me now).

I appreciate the non-respawning monsters, I hate re-fighting an area to get back through. But the chance to get more skill points is just non-existent when you really need them.

Laiken - I set Sassan to healing - she's too slow and I die (I don't rely 100% on her, but there are times I pop one of the few potions I have and she heals at the SAME TIME).

I tried Sassan set to summon.. not sure what happened there.

Hmmm...... I did not know you could change the way Sassan helps you in the fight....

Have you tried lowering the game difficulty?

"Look at you, hacker. A pathetic creature of meat and bone. Panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect immortal machine?"

Nope, to be honest, I wasn't aware it was available (or recall seeing it in the options). I will give that a shot, although I'm thinking I will probably go back a few saves and maybe I will get lucky and get one where I was saving skill points..

After the demon fight, she asks you if you're ready, once you answer her, she asks how she can help and you get three options, heal you, direct attack on Laiken, or summon like mad.

Ahhh. Turning down the difficulty helped immensely.

Tip: Before the tower (and before getting much past level 10) make sure to hit the valley and search for monsters and quests. After getting to ~level 18, I found that I missed a dungeon or 3 and a few groups of monsters throughout the valley.

With the difficulty turned down I was able to take the monsters in the cave near the beach in the Fjord (pretty much the only open place with monsters before taking the tower). I was getting around 1700xp+ each. Quite nice smile

Oh and firewall is just deadly (finally figured out THAT is what my enemies were casting to kill me).

Replaying a year later (with the new shiny version of the game) and playing on normal difficulty -- I ripped Laiken's head off.

I think perhaps it was due more to hiding in the shadows. Very useful to lose that tail that's chasing you around the throne room.

wink

The PC version is available digitally, and a DVD release is available in Canada. We are still waiting on a US DVD release, and a US/Canada Xbox release (there is suppose to be an announcement Monday about that).
