I keep finding rubies, amber, and I have found a few emeralds....is there any use for them? Or are they just there?

Quest: To get the the general to have him dispatch his 'army' or whatever you wanna call it, to help the healers get to rivertown....do I have to go through the orc infested land to get to this castle thing?

I haven't sold a single one, and have about 10k in rubies emeralds and amber. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />
For the orcs <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> just run through, or use meteorstrike to kill them from far away, or, (if u don't think they cheat) drop some steel scorpions <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I use all the diamonds and stuff as gifts for the merchants, because they are worth a bit of money, but don't have much weight. I find it a waste NOT picking up all the rubies & co.
