Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Three pedestals in depleted ore mine

at the end of the "depleted ore mine" in orobas fjords, there are 3 pedestals. this is the same mine that has the moving platform puzzle, small waterfall, and an elevator. what do these pedestals do and how do i activate them?

I tried putting the books on them (the ones you get from the floor below). Even in the exact order based on the candles (1, 3, 4) but to no avail. Tried different orders and no effect... not sure what else I can try.

I guess I must have had the wrong combo. just keep trying till you put them in the right order (same order I assume as below) and a chest appears and the books disappear.

I've placed the three books on the pedestal. There sseems to be no where to remove them, (so i must have them in the right order)

On the floor above, theres the moving platforms, once i reach the top , a chest appears at the bottom, but when i leave the top platform the chest disappears.


What do i do here?

You can rearrange the books if you place it wrongly. Just need few more tries. As for that chest, once you activated the mechanism that make it appear, immediately jump down and open it.

Ah ok. Guess i wasn't jumping down fast enough.

as soon as you hit the pressure plate you have to jump down

i have the xbox 360 version. question 1, what books? question 2, how would i select the so called 'books' and put them on the pedestal? is it a "use" action in my invintory or what?
