I found books that lvl any status skill by 1, but i heard there are books that you can invest into skills. Where they at, i dont know.
I think its just a bug for me, but they were called skill books but they didnt give me a chance to put a point in skills, only one of the four status points. that sucks

There are only books that increasse your skill level...[ ie.. whirlwind,summon ghost, pick locks ect ]

To raise str,dex,int you need charms or find weapons/armor that increases that.

no your wrong mate theres one where you kill the ghost for the commander in the first quest on the tomb near the ghost. it raised a status skill for me...might be a bug? And status skill meaning i put an extra point in spirit

There are skill books/ stats books everywhere in game which give additional skill points or stat points when used. Even as early as in Farglow, you can already get skill book. Be more cautious on your surrounding and you eventually find some. You can also gain extra skill/stat points by mind read as well.
