The situation: (For those who care. If you don't, see "The point:".

)
I've recently bought Divine Divinity on GoG.com and I really like the game. Except for the occasional crashes and bugged quests (which I believe are not there when played on an older system?) it's a really nice game. I've come to the point where I have gathered the council of seven and I am ready to start the ritual, but something goes wrong. I have a technical issue with the spell effect that is used when the character emerges after the cinematic. The game just freezes and shows an access violation error. I've tried a lot of things to avoid it, but none of it worked.
Things I've tried:
- All kinds of changes in config.div I found around the internet (including this forum)
- All kinds of resolutions, switching to 16 bit color mode, ...
- Running the game on Linux on Wine actually got me past the spell effect (which is how I know what comes after it), but there were horrible graphics problems and the game crashed when I tried to save. (this one really gave me hope :p)
- I ran the game in a virtual 32 bit version of Windows 7 (my original is 64 bit), but it was horribly slow and the result was the same -> crash.
The point:
Because of "The situation" and after "Things I've tried", this is the last thing I could think of: I want someone to download
my savegame, hit the gong, talk to the orcs on the other side, save the game again and send me back the new save game.
I would love to be able to continue the wonderful story in the few free moments of my busy studying schedule. Therefore I would be very thankful if someone could do me this favour
