Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General This game drives me crazy (in a good way)

Ever since finding out that items are not set in stone until identified I have found myself using ctrl-s and ctrl-l everytime I come across an important (even semi-important) item in the game. Almost half my gametime has been spent reloaded the game trying get a better item. It is an obsession, loading up one more time trying for something better...then again...and again..and again.... if you get my drift. Its fun in some ways and a curse in others.

well ya do, what ya gotta do, in order to get an "edge" on the game,

I went through my last game and never ONCE re-loaded to get better items. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

There is plenty of items in the game IMHO. Re-loading constantly just makes your character TOO powerful... and boring. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

i played with what i got........now this time i re-l ,
now i think my sword is too strong, making things a little too easy.......
nice but...lacking challenge!

to really exp the game, i suggest just takin what ya get,
and keep goin......

Amen to that. Damn the electric fence! Sometimes too much information is indeed a bad thing.


It's a sickness, I know. I started writing down the stats of every single version of armor/weapon/amulet blah blah blah and then saving each one under a separate game so I could go back later after lengthy conference with my minister of war and my weapons advisors and use the best one. Arrrghhhhhh!

there were all those people obsessed with diablo..
and dd is a lot like diablo.

Um DD is NO WHERE NEAR Diablo.... DD atleast HAS a story. And character advancement is 110% better than Diablo could ever achieve. BUT DD Is a single player game, not multiplayer (The reason Diablo is a much worse game than DD).

And, unless you have a Voodoo card, Diablo 2 sucks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I don't like Diablo2 (that's an understatement, by the way), but even I have to admit that DD's combat is almost every inch a Diablo-clone. Heh.
