This post is not a significant source of other nutrients. Also, it may have been produced in a plant that uses peanuts. It could also include spoilers.

Quirks

* Quickload... so many times it loaded a previous quickload. I had JUST QUICKSAVED.. hit the key I assigned and the PREVIOUS quicksave loaded. I would go to LOAD and the screenshot of the current quicksave was the right one, I loaded it.. it was correct.
* Svad... goblins, after telling him he's going to assume room temperature, his minions don't attack you they just stand there. This happened with various quests
* Going where you shouldn't - quarry, after Talana said we should leave - I stayed and whacked as many as I could, I went inside the wall? building and there were a couple of level 27 guys there, I ran past them upstairs and there was a quest to help those guys out. Obviously I couldn't (think i was level 12 or so) so I had to get out smile I also went outside and whacked all the enemies and the foreman too. Maybe that was intentional?

UI

* confirmation dialogs - LARGEST GRIPE - the quickload loaded.. this looks like a debug dialog I left in my code on accident
* Game Over - reload quickload button would be helpful
* Cut scene cancel.. second playthrough, reloads... I need to stop the cut scene! Secondary... the "ads" at the beginning.. most games you can cancel their "animations"
* faction message dialogs - enough! The relationship you have with the vendor, couldn't this have been a panel at the bottom of the window?
* weapon tooltips - comparison with current equipment - excellent, but there were times when you compared weapons/armor/etc that was HUGE and ran off the screen sometimes
* stats - it would be nice if your stats were colored in some color if they're modified by gear
* Save/Load - The UI coming up would take 4-8 seconds sometimes, other times it would nearly instant
* Save/Load - writing out takes so long. I saw a video of the 360 version of the game, the save/load was very quick
* running - a lock key to run forward would have been very nice
* vendor confirmation dialogs - huh? Am I sure? If you can ask me if I want to sell it for this little, where can I sell it for more?? This was probably intended to prevent sale of a higher valued item (epic as opposed to a starting valued item) but it was little more than annoying
* women were amazing.. why did so many of the repeated faces of men look like bums?

Gameplay

* Mind reading - monsters do not respawn, so with that in mind, when I was presented with mindreading and found the cost was xp... I wouldn't use it. After reading some tips I found that some treasure would only come about by the mindreading... I used it a few times. The times it really paid off for me was when you would change the conversation tree by asking them about their thoughts and calling them out. That was very satisfying.
* Bag space - ugh, I would have preferred to buy bagspace before getting the tower, rather than it being a skill (the skill was in taking stuff, not keeping it smile)
* Fortresses - needed alot more ground troops
* Tower - no vendor?

Notes

Skills - Tips would tell you to plan skills, don't will-nilly choose them. Well, like most people that have been through this or any other game knows, some skills stink. Being an NPC and ranged apparently rocks - I was one-shotted alot by NPCs early on. But taking ranger skills and trying to play ranged... not even 1/4 as good as the NPCs and you die from that. A lot.

I'm not sure if I care for the skill section much. It's huge - cannot argue with having a lot of options. But it seems like some things that were selectable and could grow to level 10 could have been only a level deep and grow with your level.

Ranged - should have been more powerful or allowed to be used at a much greater range, otherwise it's just not a viable skill tree option (magic missle distance could be thought of the same way, charging, ranged attacks, etc made being a ranged player... moot)

Overpowered skills. I wouldn't normally point this kind of thing out because I like being more powerful than the NPCs, I hate getting my butt handed to me constantly. But skills like firewall -- wow.. I cannot tell you how many boss fights I won with that - one cast. Oh and I never upgraded it beyond level 4...

Where some things were overpowered, the distance between tiers was sometimes painful. If you upgraded something, it would get +%0.01 better with each point. Or if you took something late in the game.. like magic missile. Putting a point in to do 6 damage at tier one?

Message Info Area - Press (e) to Open... not sure I liked the placing of that. When you searched for the "secret button" to open a wall... I cannot watch the wall while I strafe it AND look at that little message area. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the message area being to the right of the command bar and out of the way... but it's hard to do all that at once with just 2 eyes that point in one direction...

Combat log - I liked how you could hide it... but I wanted it open all the time and it wouldn't stay open.

Overall

Simply put - I loved it! I decided from the start I would be a ranger, but after a few fights I just couldn't do enough damage before I was overrun and turned to melee and I went down that tree and eventually picked up some in the magic tree.

Speaking of magic... I simply LOVE games with a charm ability in them. There is NOTHING like poking your head in a room, charm someone and run out and let them beat each other up. smile

MMO. When i played them, all I could think was... if only this was single player and had a purpose... D2 is my answer. It seemed like it took a couple of weeks to play... it was so much fun!

The tower - it's own command bar - awesome! I loved the teleporting around at will. It just felt like (after finishing the game) that the tower wasn't utilized as much as it could have been. I really thought I was gearing up for something massive, protect my tower, whack Damian, all that rot. But one of the "quests" I thought was on (Hall of Echoes) as a part of taking Damian down... ended abruptly. I took the room out in 40 seconds... it took Zandalar forever to stop. Then... *poof* game over. Before opening the Hall of Echoes, I hadn't yet used the tower to enchant weapons, I didn't pay for changing skills to increase to level 10 yet... I went into the Hall with over 70k of gold. I had no idea that was it.

It just seems maybe the game should have made the tower upgrades more integral to the gameplay - upgrade this section because you're going to do this quest now that requires this section and what it generates...

Special thanks for voiceovers... every conversation, even ones with a simple bubble and a sentence... everything had a voice over.

The ending... I loved it. That said, it's the discontinuity leading up to it that confuses me. Again, I felt like I was preparing for something... and then the game was over. I had a ton of money left over, upgrades I never took... I upgraded my runners to the best of everything, the areas were all upgraded... and the Hall of Echoes was such a cake walk, I didn't think I was at the end.

And someone tell Hermosa I whacked her sister, I want the bloody sword back.
