the dragon scales are just before his throne. You actually have to run over the bone bridge to get to it. the set is on the ground... as soon as you get off the bridge.... gl mate!
And if you are having trouble staying alive long enough to reach them, try summoning your creature if you have him. He'll distract the Dragon and the cheep attack he uses.
