Why is the Heartaker quest failed? It says everybody in Broken Valley including Richard...Is there any way to keep Richard from being killed and completing this quest successfully?

If you refuse to help him to collect the hearts, I guess that quest will be considered fail. I never actually tried refusing him, as those hearts are quite worthy for extra exp and gold.

Nope ACSS I did not refuse his quest infact I sold him all the hearts I had in my backpack I thought...I even made him pay me the REAL price...May be I still had some in my backpack is the reason it failed I don't know.

Well I dont know if you had kill richard or not, but the quest will automatic listed as fail once richard is die, eventhough you sold all your hearts to him before killing him. Its no big deal anyway.

Its another quest after you turn in hearts. Your either help him get the supplies or the seekers on the famine. I choose to kill him instead of help him. You can try to help him with his quest and see whats happen. Maybe this heart taker quest is doom to be fail as broken valley will get destroyed later and everyone there literally will be dead.

One question .... I wonder why the those high level Blackring thugs at the mine don't die from the poison?

Could be because their in a building. Or more likely it's because their not human, their Damian's personal army so there must be something special about them that makes them immune.
