Took me about 5 days to figure out that I had some goofed up codec files/reg entries...got those fixed (see my other posts) and was finally able to play the game.

And I'm very glad I stuck with it and finally got it figured out!

Playing @ 1680x1050 on over all "High" settings and the game looks gorgeous imo...and playing very smooth for me as well.

Haven't had any issues with going inside buildings or doors missing thus far...though I am only in the 1st town/fort area.

I LOVE the amount and attention to detail this game has, LOVE the "many" different paths I can take my character. Love the random loot found in chests, boxes or crates. It really feels like an Adventure thus far and I'm enjoying immensely the art of exploring every nook and cranny that I can find.

Realizing that I have barely scratched the surface of this game, I'm amazed and excited for the road ahead!

I feel like it's going to be one hell of an adventure & journey lol

Just wanted to voice some positive experiences and feedback...I know it's sometimes easier to see the problems and voice our concerns when things go wrong. But you can't help but see the time and effort and love this game has received. And I congratulate them on a job well done!

I know some are having issues...I was one, but the team is staying in touch and doing (i feel) their best to research and address issues and work on finding solutions. I know trying to test for ALL the various types of PC systems and setups must be insane lol

But I believe that Larian will keep at it and continue to adjust and patch as necessary to resolve these issues.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the game as much as I...if you're having problems, try and keep the faith and stick with it...it really is a beautiful game and worth the effort smile

One of the very best "voiced" games I've played...every bit as good or better than Oblivion imo Oblivion had many, many phrases that seemed patched together and it just didn't flow well sometimes. Well not here, the voice work (English) is perfect imo, well done!!!

Gotta go for now...

Regards & Good Hunting ALL

Yup, this is one of my very favorite RPGs. I bought the Xbox 360 version and loved it so much that I went out yesterday and picked it up for PC. And even though some have criticized the Xbox 360 version, it ran quite well for me and was a great experience.

Definitely one of the better Euro RPG ports I've seen on Xbox 360. Now I get to check it out for PC. groovy That's $110.00 Larian got out of me!

And now that Larian is supporting both the PC and Xbox 360 version with patches to smooth out any issues is a thumbs up in my book! hug

My Favorite RPGs: Divinity franchise, Gothic franchise (including Arcania, so I think I'm alone...), Venetica, Risen, Two Worlds II, The Witcher, Sacred franchise, Fallout franchise, Mass Effect 1, Alpha Protocol, Planescape: Torment, Drakensang, KOTOR 1 & 2, etc.

I played the PC version... I saw videos of the 360 version and it looked to me to run MUCH better on the 360 (instant saves as opposed to the 40 second PC save).

Me too, great game, liked Drakan and Enclave. Better than Dragon age (in my opinion), my last played game. Open world, great options, beautiful places, sarcastic quests. Good job. Great surprise. I'm playing on 360.

well my PC saves don't take near that long, in fact I mapped the Quick Save to my F5 key and it's pretty much instant.

Not sure why it would take that long...did you defrag the install drive by chance?

I've been playing DAO as well (before i got D2) and while I enjoy it, I'm also having a ball with Divinity 2, for all the reasons and more that have been stated wink

Divinity 2 stands next to fable in my 2 titles list of "best single player experience I ever had". Years after Fable 1 I didn't think I will see a game so deep, engaging and fun. In other words, a game with a 'soul'. True, The Witcher and Risen were special and very good, but Divinity 2 is the one that is truly simply fun. I see some guys here pop names of RPGS I've never heard of... Maybe if ill google those I might find gems like Divinity 2 smile?
