Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Elite Armor??

Has anyone obtained and used the Elite armor you can get at the very beginning of the game? I managed to collect enough money from killing goblins but haven't leveled enough to use any of it. It doesn't come with any slots or enchants so I'm not sure if I should have bothered. Now that I've played for a while it seems like a waist so if anyone knows if its good for anything please tell.

You probably wasted your time. Sorry. By the time you can use it, you'll have found a bunch of items which have magical bonuses which will be better than that stuff.

I'm still using the gauntlets I received from I think it was David the desserter for not turning him in to that knight in broken valley. Have not found better ones yet.
I hardly ever get gauntlets in my loot, rarest thing in the game. That and belts are hard to come by.

Armor hardly has any effect in this game anyways, well at least for me. I can take every piece of equipable equipment off and only lose up to a few points in all my stats.
Only armor that is worth anything really is stuff that adds to hitpoints or has a healing effect.

I'm running around in my bra and panties bare-fisted and slaughtering everything now at level 33 even the generals in the fortresses.

Does anyone know if the image alterer does breast reductions. My character needs it majorly, looks like Dolly Parton with a sword.

Kinda disappointing to hear that. I was hoping there would be some kind of secret to them. They seem so.. out of place. All well though. Thanks for responding.

Later in the game you'll get all kinds of Elite armor pieces just from loot, I just sell it off or store it in my battle tower.

There is a point in the game where you get Unique armor after killing a certain NPC. That is the armor to look out for as it boosts some of the best stats. Wish it looked better though.

I'm not using any armor now though as I'm pretty much invincible in my human form at level 33 so I'm just running around in my bra and panties using the 5 knuckle shuffle to pound things into mulch. Nobody does me any damage, not even a group of 20 goblins.

My dragon still gets slaughtered so that is good. If I feel the need to die I just go into a area I have not cleared out that uses dragon form. Within a minute I'm dead.

yeah i have to agree with diff... im at 32 and i destroy things in human form. still get a bit of trouble in my dragon form but thats whats fun. and you get awesome armor sets when you get into the orobas fjords and into the flying fortresses. remember use your mind reading skill it helps to find armor sets and pieces! that and it can lead into some histerical commentary.

I never got any of the full 10 piece sets of armor in any of the fortresses, always 9 pieces even when consulting a walkthrough for the locations.
They require a ridiculous number in a certain stat anyways and I was never even close with any of them. Last pieces I found were the scorpion pieces and I believe those took 42 dexterity or something to equip and I was around 35 and below 30 after I'd take my charmed or enchanted pieces away.

So the point is I never got to see if any of those pieces from any of the three sets were even worthwhile searching for as I could not put on one piece of the various.
I just used my Unique set I got off that one demon from the time I got till the end of game. Never found anything better for my particular character. Just enchanted and charmed it up better when I could.

Heck did not even sell the pieces, they were sitting in my battle tower chest when I finished the game. Not even sure if they were worth a good amount of gold or not.

doesnt it tell you how much there worth if you put um in the chest?

Not that I ever saw. Only place that tells you anything is the merchant screens and they give you maybe 20 or 25% or what it is worth.
Heck they do not even give you refunds if you exit their store and come right back in 5 seconds later. They only give you that measly amount above.
Bunch of rip-off artists, I should report them to the BBB.

Money is not really important at all in this game anyways. I only used it for enchanting and that is cheap. Everything else I got from loot including all my potions, that I hardly ever used. I just ended up destroying most of my potions as when you get to 50 it starts taking up a new slot and the potions add up fast being in almost every loot.
Never used a strength, intelligence or dexterity potion throughout the whole game so it was a waste even collecting them in my case.
