Hmm never saw that, maybe it is something you put on your weapon or arrows as there are numerous references in the game that certain things are more vulnerable to various weapons, poisons and such.
Makes sense I guess as that island is full of dragon elfs.
Make a quick save and right click and see if there is a use option. If it kills you load your save.
