The subject I chose is misleading, I'm not at endgame yet. Close though. I'm stuck up against Josephina again, in the Black Lake Dungeon. She's kicking my [nocando]! I did a search on her, and found one tip I can try -- Flash Attack. I've got one point.

I'm eager to reach end game so I can start over. I have too much invested in this warrior to abandon him (lvl 47). I've been playing slow, doing all the side quests and killing EVERYTHING along the way. When I start over I'll play a Survivor/Mage character.

These forums are an awesome resource for this game -- and the people here rock!

My one question (for now): how do I drop SOME of a given object? I've been collecting super pots and I have more than I'll ever need. I'm carrying so many health/magic pots I'm at weight limit.

Hey, thanks for the great COMMUNITY!

Drag then hold the control key down when you drop the stack; a split stack pane will pop up.
Using level 1 Alchemy, you can combine health and mana potions for Restoration potions (regular and super restoration potion both restore 100% health and mana, but the super one is heavier).

If I did, it would not have taken 40 minutes to reply.

Why have the two then?

She kicked my butt too, until I read up a bit on her in here (yes, this place IS the source of all information in the universe) and maxxed out Hell Spikes and nailed her with that. She had wiped the floor with me at least a dozen times and this time she didn't stand a chance. A death scorpion helped out some as well....

He does seem to know quite possibly absolutely everything! Amazing
Plus, he's johnny-on-the-spot, which is helpful when your very life is on hold pending figuring out how to (insert burning topic here).

Yeah, baby!

she was kicking my [nocando] also ! In the end I used my royal sword (level 3 frost !) and froze her so she couldn't cast those [nocando]-wooping hellspikes of hers

I have heard that invisibility helps and also you could blind her (if you have that spell).
Have you tried polymorfing her ? Just kidding as she probably has high spiritual resistance.

I just butchered her with my sword, yes and hellspikes helped a lot, as hellspikes have area effect, so when she was invisible I looked where her spells are coming from and cast hellspikes right away over there, after I heard her surrerings it was clear, I hit her

You could try energy cage in a same way as hellspikes as well, and see if she resisted it or not.

Hope this helps.

Oh Yeah!

Thanks!

Now I can cut the number of potions in half by combining them, and drop excess in a chest or cabinet. These two tips should help a lot.

Arrgh! I think it may be too late. I've killed pretty much everything I encountered getting this far, and solved all but a few quests -- so the chances of my leveling again are slim to none -- so I have no way of going back and pumping up skill points (Hell Spikes, Traps).

I can't touch her. I have a great sword, but she's floating around in a shield. I click on her and even when she's right next to me I don't swing on her. I haven't scored a single hit.

While I'm considering how to deal with her I've started a new character -- a male mage who'll develop survivor skills. I suspect I'll be playing this game for a long time.

Hi Egin,

How did you get a hit on her? I'm clicking myself into a carpal disaster -- but haven't hit her once yet. She's always protected by that egg-shaped shield she hides in.

Hi Caius,

I don't remember her using a magic shield, but if you wait till it wears off, is she recasting it?
I am sure hellspikes had effect on her.
Try cursing her a bit as well, this always helped me.

Try using a shadow potion and waiting for her Blind spell to wear off, then attack. If you can not see her (ie the egg-shaped shield), you can not hit her (except with area effect spells which do not need a target, like Hell Spikes, Poison Cloud, Elemental Hail, Deadly Disks...).

If you drink a shadow potion and use your spin attack near (but not directly on) a creature, you will hit it without turning visible.

Ah! Josephina! You darkling butch cretin! Now I have you! Flash Attack! Yes!

Oh, but wait.... she escaped! Arghhh! Just when I thought she was going down (and I didn't gobble a single pot) she mocked me and danced through a portal.

Did anyone kill her in that battle, or do I have to wait until another time?

Thanks for all your help! Thanks to one and all who responded!
