I am at level 10. Is it possible to kill Viper? He's chased me all the way back to the wooden ramp and every time I have a go at him (fireball, strength potions and melee) he kills me within seconds!! Should I go away, do something else and level up or does viper have a weak spot I should know about?

Level up once or twice more. Even then, it's a pretty hard fight. You may have to do lots of hitting and running.

Try using your creature, if you don't have it another thread should be able to tell you how to get it. Your creature will give the enemy two targets instead of one, making having a creature and/or a summon out a good tactic for tough fights.

Got Viper! Phew! Did it by fireballing him then running away till I could fireball again. Old ladies may beat me at arm-wrestling but I can run faster than any of them!!

Though that is easy fight
I beat it with my mage and battle mage without problems
