Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks past mistakes

I know from earlier postings i reallly made a mess of things but with Ravans encouragment i decided to keep moving ahead. I just made lvl24 and have 4 stat pts and 5 skill pts. So I thought i would give my stats one more time in hopes someone will help me continue in a better manner. so, here goes. hp 675, mana 366, vit 42, spi 16,str 36, dex 11, int 16. Healing 3/5, whirlwind 5/5, fatality 3/5, life leach 3/3, jump strike 5/5 thousand strike 2/5, duel weilding 4/10 and sword and shield 5/10, i know now that one was a really big screw-up. anyway folks, there you have it. what do you think?

What I would do is give more statpoints to Intelligence and Dexterity so your Magic and Ranged Resistance go higher.

Futher on I would put some skillpoints in Magic Blast, realy great strong spell!
If I remember good you play most of the time like a warrior, isn't it?
Have you try to use a Two-handed Sword? It's also realy fun (my opinion)... for example the Arben's Sword (Rhode give you back before the fight at the Maxos Temple entree) or Seth's Sword (if you do that hidden-side-quest in Brocken Valley and met knight Seth on a bridge ) or another godo Two-handed sword ...

i kind of thought magic would be mentioned considering how important it seems to be by what everyone else is doing. the two-handed sword? that has been mentioned to me before but the thing is, is that i have no skill training in it at all, does it seem kind of late, at this stage, to try to change from 2 weapon to one?

O, but I use now frequently a two-handed sword (Arben's) and put NO skillpoint in it!
But by me this sword has 1 point in this skill! + when I began the game I got 1 point in that skill (Dragon Slayer skills, many of them I got 1 point of it in the beginning of the game).

So, you can use such a sword (or another weapon) without putting many skillpoints in specific weaponskill. For sure your expertise increased with such a skill, but not a "need" to have.

It's ALL yours to discover, to experience, to have fun ....
I love this game because it don't hold my hand! I must dicover, etc ... all things on my own (or asking my questions here on the forum ).

i don't have a two-hander on hand right now but next decent one i come acros i'll hang onto and give it a try. always willing to try new things, thanks

You should put few points in strenght
Its very low for warrior
MAX herbalism
Buy everything for harry
And send him for dragon nails(I think you need them for great healing potion)
after he return send him for more
In no time you will have 100+ potions and you will be save for rest of game

good to hear from you Raven. I've had poor harry going like a bee all day, nails ginsing and earth root. thought i needed all three. i've put some point in str using charms and jewlery but still have more pts yet. Haven't done anything with skill pts though and now have 7 to play with. just what does herbalism do?

okay, just found out what herbalism does. i have enough dragon nails right now to make 166 potions. any suggestions on which ones?

One that heal you
You notice of course that you need only one dragon nail for any healing potion(I think)
Just make 100+ of them and game will be too easy

yeah, i do like be able to have enough on hand to take care of myself. just think, yesterday, or was it the day before, whatever. i was ready to start over and now 9
i have potions, a little gold put away, and climbed a couple of levels. i gotta thank you, without your encouraging me to keep going i never would have. big thnks.

Try - Try - Try a 2h sword.

Also mix armors and rings and bracelets to max out thier potentials. Dont get caught up in Armor sets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
